Tasted good
I had to drink this before surgery and I was scared I would not like it. It was actually very tasty. I wouldn’t drink it all the time, but because I was required to drink something like this to keep my energy up, I was surprised at how good it tasted.

Good option for prep for surgery or colonoscopy
I was surprised by how many people think that this item, Ensure Pre-Surgery, is the same thing as Ensure sold at grocery stores. This is a special form of Ensure Clear, not just transparent, but without any color at all, which is designed to be a part of a strict clear liquids diet before a medical procedure, such as surgery or colonoscopy. You would not drink it more than a day, and there is no other reason to drink it other than for a medical procedure. It is totally clear (no color at all). It comes in strawberry flavor, but the flavor is very subtle and I would probably not even guessed that it is strawberry if it was not written on the bottle. It is probably an artificial strawberry flavor. The taste is agreeable, but I would not drink it if I did not have a good reason to. I used it for prep for colonoscopy. Ensure Pre-Surgery is not carried by grocery stores or pharmacies, so I was very glad to find it on Amazon. It is unlikely that someone would drink more than 4 bottles during the day of clear liquids diet (in most cases it is a one day prep, although it may be different in some cases, I just do not know). The difference with Ensure Clear is that Ensure Clear is transparent, but has a strong color to it (and tastes better). Depending on the type of medical procedure which you are preparing for, Ensure Clear might also work (and it would have more flavors and would taste better and it is also cheaper) – ask your doctor.

Iâm getting out of four because of the taste
Itâs so disgustingly sweet, but I know itâs supposed to be. So hold your nose and drink it down real fast. Kind of reminds me of a glucose test drink. Thick consistency. Definitely drink it cold!And this is coming from somebody who is a pastry chef⦠Lol itâs even sweet for me

Pre surgery, keeps you from getting hungry before surgery during the 12 hour fast ! No artificial colors, clear liquid, and taste great !

Pre op drink high in carbs
Although indicated as a pre op drink, 1) I found it too high in carbs and 2) the âno eating/drinking past midnightâ made it impossible for intended use.

Used before a surgery if you’re health conscious.
Recommended by my doctor and consumed before surgery. I don’t like the fructose, sucrose in other products, so I went with this as an alternative to G-torade.
