I ordered this kit to start my sourdough journey when I received it these items are quality products. The jar cloth cover was not sewn properly so I contacted their customer service and Sophie quickly responded. She quickly sent me a partial refund and even provided an Amazon link for a 4 pack replacement covers. The next morning I received another communication from her and she initiated a kit replacement free of charge. I am very impressed with the quality, their customer service and the integrity they have to ensure that the customer is 100% satisfied. I would definitely recommend their product and wouldnât hesitate to purchase from them again. This by far has been the best customer service Iâve ever received from anyone.

Nice kit for beginner
This is a nice kit to begin the sour dough journey. I do not know if itâs because I am in NM and itâs dry here but the little cloth cap for the jar didnât keep my starter from drying out on top. Every time I fed my starter Iâd have to scrape off a dry top. When I am home in Ohio I cover my jar w a coffee filter and have never had this issue. Also I just sliced my dough w the lame and the blades did not cut smoothly. The one I have at home made a nice clean cut. This one didnât. I donât know if the blades are not sharp enough â¦.The bowls are nice and I am glad the kit came w them.

Perfect for beginners
Came with almost everything I need to start my sourdough journey. Baskets are perfect size and love that they are collapsible. Super easy to clean. Came with a guide on how to use and recipe book. Only thing I am not sure on how to use honestly is the thermometer but it came with F and C ones.

Size comparison and what you get
I have been researching best items I needed to start the sourdough process . This set included most of what I needed at a great price . I did do some pictures with 12oz can of soda , so you could tell the size of the 2 baskets. They have since gone in a better shape after being unpacked and extended. I already had a sale so did not need that . I wish it had a dough whisk but I have made it work . So far it is working and the rubber bands help . So far I love this set

Iâm a true beginner. Iâm happy with everything this kit comes with, except the instructions are not very clear, and left me with some questions and not really understanding how to start. I need to know HOW MUCH flour and HOW MUCH water to start with, not just 1:1. Is it 1 tsp, 1 tbsp, or 1 cup? Or is it 1/2 a cup? It would be very helpful to give the exact measurements of the flour and water. Next, when do I use the screw on lid, as opposed to the cloth lid? We got online to help us figure it out, but I was really hoping to get all the information I needed from the kit. If you have some type of experience with sourdough, then this is a perfect kit for you!

Just add flour and water and I was on my way to making my first sourdough starter. I was impressed with the proofing baskets and also used one to bake my bread in as well. The silicone spatula is nice and long for getting into the glass jar. I do wish the glass jar had a slightly larger mouth as it was a little tricky trying to make sure everything got mixed well with it being so narrow. But I made it work. The scraper is nice for scraping the sticky dough off the counter and also for cutting the dough in half when making a double batch. Great value for all of the items you get.

This contains everything you need to get started on your sourdough journey. Love the cotton elastic top for the jar, and the elastic band marker. Banetons are sturdy and the red spatula is long enough for the jar. I would recommend this set.
