A wonderful book
The book is simple wonderful. It is the best I have come across in a long time. The explanations are so easy to understand and follow that I would recommend it to all readers who are interested in Feng Shui. It makes a lot of sense and everything is explained in such a fantastic manner that you feel the magic of the Feng Shui after you turn the last page and you realise how much more you have to learn if you want to practise Feng Shui in your life. Thank you Amazon.com for making this book available to the readers around the world.

Great book or beginners and those interested in Chinese arts
I purchased this book to help me with a last minute Feng Shui project I was working on in school. This book was surprisingly detailed and thorough. As a complete “idiot” to feng shui, I was impressed with how invasive this art really was. I ended up keeping this book, and I still have it on my shelf. It’s a great reference on redecorating your room. For those, visually-oriented readers, this book has lots of pictures and diagrams in this book that will help you achieve some degree of harmony to your room. Aside from the introduction, general history, and quick how-to’s, there are different sections in the book depending on what you are trying to achieve; and as you go further into the book it gets quite detailed.I’ll tell you, though, if you are not deeply interested in the art of feng shui, it’s not a book you are going to read everyday; nor would you read it from front to back each time you pick it up. This book is more like a how-to manual you would keep in your home. I would say that for most people, this book will turn into a bathroom-reader or something you plop on your shelf for quick referencing. The latter is what I use it for now. While this book impresses to me that it is mainly for a women audience, I would not be surprised if a handy-man or a man with a taste for design and arts kept this as an inspiration for his next project.

Simple and Comprehensive
As a Feng Shui consultant and owner of THE FENG SHUI HOUSE in Athens, I have studied almost every book published on Feng Shui. Also,I have been following great masters whom I respect for the knowledge they shared with me, but when I found Feng Shui Second Edition, I just understood how to apply Feng Shui rules and tecniques in every residential or working place without spending a fortune on that!I was really enlightened on the concepts of Feng Shui and I was surprised realizing how easy the applications are!I do feel that whoever starts learning Feng Shui with this book is really lucky!Joseph, Elizabeth and Val Thank you so much for the serious and profound help you provide with this excellent piece of real work!Vasso Anagnostopoulou

Get results
When I started learning about feng shui I was reading about the Black Hat Sect feng shui that uses the main entrance and the bagua. I tried that type of feng shui for a few years with no real result. Then I started reading about the traditional feng shui that uses compass directions, flying stars and so forth. Once I made that change my husband and I were amazed with the results. It is more complicated to learn and takes much more time to learn but the results are worth it.

mixed feelings
This was my first book on Feng Shui and while the beginning wasn’t too interesting, (it’s all about the history), I still kept reading because I really wanted to learn about Feng Shui. Once you get to the middle of the book, it’s very interesting and I felt it was very informative. I was very excited about doing all the steps, the floor plan of the house, the compass reading, finding the year my house was constructed…all very fun stuff to work through. Then, getting to the part where they tell you, based on the flying star system and all your information you got from the compass, what pie chart matches your home…it seems that I have a bad luck house and the cures for it were pretty glum. 3 choices were given, move, cut a hole in the roof to allow heaven chi to come in, or try to keep the center of the house open toward all the directions. Well, I can’t do much about changing the structure of the house, nor can I move at the moment…so this book let me down in a huge way. All of my excitement and enthusiasm drained out of me. The author could have been a little more positive with remedies that were doable. Plus, I still found no answers to help me figure out how to remedy any element in any other rooms. I even went back to the beginning of the book, twice, rereading to see if maybe the answers were there. I felt more confused than ever. Maybe it’s just me, but I did not find the answers I was looking for in this book. Not only that, I felt disappointed that the author wasn’t more positive with helpful remedies.

Superb Feng Shui book
I have been waiting years for this book from Master Joseph Yu to be published ever since the last version went out of print. Well worth the wait.An easy read, very easy, that presents this complex subject in an understandable and amusing way. Feels very much like being with Master Yu and having a conversation.

I’d been wanting to understand Feng Shui for years. I’d looked at other books, but they looked a bit like gibberish to me. I think that’s because the books I’d read had assumed a certain knowledge of Feng Shui, and I needed to start from absolute basics. This book takes you every step of the way up to a certain level where you can look at a house and understand its basic character, and whether you’d be compatible with it. It’s co-written by a World master – Master Yu – so what it presents is the authentic knowledge. I am very happy with it and what I have learnt.

Very thorough, coherent read. Very well documented. More than your run of the mill Feng Shui book. Highly recommended.
