Lightweight, easy to use
This kit is pretty decent, but there are a few corners cut that make it feel a little cheap. Included in the kit is a fabric carry pouch, USB A to USB C cable, brush, adjustable spacer/guard, and a charging dock. The unit itself is pretty lightweight, maybe a bit too much so, as it feels a little cheap and indicates a smaller battery. Charging is easy, with a USB C port on the charging base, though you need to provide your own charger. The trimmer fits in the base okay, but doesn’t have a real satisfying click or anything to indicate it’s seated properly.Charging is very fast (again, partly due to a smaller battery) and the built in screen makes it really easy to monitor the charge status. One feature that I really like is that if you hold the power button for three seconds, it puts it in travel mode so it won’t accidentally turn on if something bumps it while in your luggage. I will admit, I thought my unit was defective on arrival, as I couldn’t get it to power on, but after reading the manual saw I had to hold the button 3 seconds to put it in regular mode.In use, it’s pretty quiet and looks like it has ceramic blades (they’re white). It takes me a little longer than my usual beard trimmer to shave my face and seeing the power levels drop I can tell it’ll need much more frequent recharges (my other one I charge maybe once a year with weekly use). It stays pretty cool and can be washed off under running water. The included adjustable guard feels cheap and I don’t really like how it adjusts. I would have preferred multiple guards, one for each spacing rather than the adjustable one that feels cheap with how it clicks into the spots.Overall, I’m pretty happy with this, though it doesn’t quite feel like a higher end product. It’s not too terribly expensive, so some corners cut to save costs are to be expected. But for a basic wireless trimmer, I think it does a good job.

Decent waterproof clipper for body grooming. Model HBTR-002
This is a waterproof T-blade clipper, making it suitable for use in the shower. That makes it a good choice if you want to do body grooming.Basic clipper technology is pretty low tech, and I have been pleasantly surprised to discover that just about all hair clippers sold these days–even by non-name-brands–do a pretty good job: They clip fine, and they feature lithium-ion batteries that last a really long time. In fact, most are made by only a small number of factories, under a variety of different names.This clipper is no exception.Specifics of this kit:** Rechargeable waterproof clipper, with integrated LED light** Near 0 gapping for close trimming** Ceramic cutting blade** Two length guards (one dual position)** Charging cable** Cleaning brush** Soft sided travel pouch** Charging standClipper operation is trivial: There is one button on the side. One push turns the clipper on. A second push turns on the LED light. A third push turns everything off.I found that the clippers cut hair fine, and were able to cut pretty close to the skin line. If you want absolutely smooth, you’d have to run over the same skin area with a shaver. But these will leave you looking clean-shaven. The functionality is close to a T-Blade clipper, but with a fully enclosed body around the rotation axis, which means both that it’s waterproof, and that you don’t need to worry about accidentally getting body hair twisted in the exposed rotating spindle.These feature a 3s soft lockout mode, so they should travel well.The included stand can be used for charging. Note that the stand is not weighted, so it’s easy to knock over.On the whole, they get the job done, and they are waterproof. It’s nice that there’s a soft travel lockout mode and travel pouch.
