Cheap in quality, cheap in price. Works perfect.
I have purchased two pair now. They haven’t needed to be replaced because they failed. I gave the first pair away to people that were in dire need of keeping gnats and mosquitoes out of their faces while working on my property. Talk about spreading some absolute joy! These hats feel cheap. They are cheap. They do the job they are intended to do at an amazingly low price.

Good protection from Wasps
These were used at a home where previously 2 trades had gotten stung. We were warned and ordered these because of the fast delivery. They worked great. Handy to keep around for working near wasps, bees etc. We’ll designed and light.

Pretty Nice For The Price
We live in hot and humid Southwest Florida where it rains a lot in the summer. Since we’re in the tropics we usually get a heavy rain every day during the summer season. With rainfall comes standing water and perfect conditions for breeding mosquitoes and the infamous Florida Yellow Biting Flies. Yes, the Zika virus is a current concern, but the county is pretty efficient at spraying and keeping the mosquitoes under control. What we have more trouble with is the biting Yellow Flies! These nasty little critters are attracted to dark colors and carbon dioxide. One of our Irish Wolfhounds is so afraid of them that he runs to “Daddy” whenever they start to swarm around him — like I can protect him from these little relentless kamikaze vampires. They hurt when they bite and you can’t always tell when they’ve landed on you until that searing pain gets your attention. Typically when you’re trying to kill the one biting you another one sets himself up for a meal. And on, and on, and on……Riding my lawnmower and doing any type of yard work sets me up as a nice juicy (and large) target. I always try to maintain discipline and wait until the little buzzards quit flying around me and land on my exposed skin, but seldom are you dealing with just one. So now when I work outside I wear pants, long sleeves, and one of these Olymstore Beekeeping hats. A few blasts of Deep Woods Off or Cutters seems to help a bit but the mesh on the hat is what protects my face and neck. These hats only cost about $1.00 each but provide pretty good protection from the biting insects of Southwest Florida. They are very light weight, you can see through the mesh with no problem, and they prevent insects from getting to your neck and face. However they are also very flimsy and won’t survive any type of damage. They are also loose fitting and the netting doesn’t extend much below your chin. It is a little unnerving when a biting yellow fly lands on the mesh just outside of your eye but you eventually get conditioned to that. The light weight and see-through mesh makes you forget that you have it on. Several times now I have taken a break and tried to drink out of my water bottle before remembering that I still have the hat on. These hats must be some manufacturer’s close outs so don’t feel badly about taking advantage of it. Buy several and give some to your friends. I did — and they were VERY appreciative.

JUST so so
These are pretty flimsy but do keep the annoying bugs off you. One of the hats was coming apart at a seam on top but still usable.

Bug proof
I have used one of these to get through our buggy spring season in Massachusetts and it worked fine. It is still in good shape and ready for another buggy spring next year, and there awaits the second one whenever the first fails. I am quite happy with performance, and so far, no failure yet. This was not heavy use, but it sure stopped the black flys from feasting on my ears and neck!

Great investment
Wish the mesh was long to tuck inside your shirt or jacket.Overall..love it

Not for bee keeping!!
Small hat, very flimsy and screen netting lies right on the face. This will not work for bee keeping at all.It does keep flies and gnats away.Suggest the company re-purpose this item.

la struttura e la retina non sembrano molto resistenti ma fanno benissimo il loro dovere.

These hats are brilliant at keeping the midges out – and believe me living in the Scottish Highlands the midges are most vicious and numerous! The midges normally see me as a succulent piece of beef and like to dine out on me preventing me from mowing my lawn which is quite close to a loch and from enjoying the views from Dunnet Head and the likes. These hats have saved the day – although the sight of me wearing them doesn’t do much for my street cred! Other people have seen how well they work and have ordered their own so they can safely garden, fish and walk.A bargain even if they doubled the price!

Cheap as chips and so reasonable value for money. Trouble is the brim of the hat is quite narrow so the mesh is still reasonably close to the face. Turn one’s head even a little and the mesh is pulled against the skin. That is a problem if one is dealing with a wall’s nest – they would be able to sting through the netting which defeats the object. My advice would be to pay a little more and get a hat with a wider brim.

These hats are light but very effective, especially for keeping the dreaded Scottish midge from biting. They are very good value for money. My husband uses them during the course of his work and is not particularly careful so considering the treatment they are given they are amazingly robust although to be honest when I took them from the package did not think they would last very long. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend the product. I would not hesitate to buy them again.
