Cute but needs improvement
The little pies are pretty cute but these were a little difficult to work with. Using the bottom to cut with doesn’t work well. The edges need to be sharper instead of flat to go through the dough more easily. There’s also an issue of the cut out not being big enough due to the dip where the filling goes in so I ended up just putting the dough in and using a knife to cut the shape out. It was fairly easy to press the dough together but I believe others who reviewed may not have used an egg wash or anything to make the dough sticky.

great mold
These molds were wonderful and fun to use! The one element I found helpful was to place the mold side that has the diamond shaped holes on it, in the freezer with the batter still attached for 5 -10 minutes to give it stability and then remove it from the mold and also to remove the lattice holes while the dough was still attached to the mold…so simple! Great molds…great price!

Tricky but ultimately rewarding
In the images I included the pie crust (store bought) I used and the finished product. Donât go with the thickness of the pre-roll pie crust dough, as you can see from the top two, it was too thin and didnât hold its shape well despite me using less apple pie filling.The third product was made by mashing the left over dough, rolling to a thicker consistency, and filling with a bit more filling since it over all felt sturdy. Turned out better and tasted better imo xDNow. I will say that the impression and edges when pressed into the dough isnât as sharp as say a cookie cutter, so I ended up tracing/cleanly cutting them free with a knife, that was the tricky part. I used the advise of a previous review to through coat with cooking spray before filling and sealing it together. Even then, you still gotta wiggle it free, but nothing fell apart so I would say itâs too complicated.Note: I cute the apple slices of the store bought apple pie filling into smaller pieces to avoid large clumps that might break the seems, seems to have worked well enough here.After this first batch I think the next will turn out even better. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

Too Much Trouble and Too Small
I really wanted this to work. I am the peach cobbler guru in the family and thought I would do something different by making hand pies for thanksgiving for the “to go” plates. While they look cute, they don’t work well. They are far too small to add much more than a single cling peach (slice of peach). The cut outs work just fine but are too small. The process of pressing the two sides together is totally ineffective. The sides do not seal and would be more effective if there was more space to allow a proper seal to prevent or reduce leakage. What could have been a quick and easy process turned out to be grueling, as I had to cut out extra space, approximately an half inch beyond the edge of the cutouts. I also had to take extra steps to make sure each hand pie was sealed properly. I don’t recommend this item, particularly if you plan to make multiple hand pies at a time.

Not easy to use
I tried flouring them and the dough still sticks in the holes and takes forever to clean out and leaves rough edges. I’m donating these!
