I tried over a dozen, this was my favorite. Do yourself a favor, do NOT get a knee brace at your local drug store
After a knee ligament injury, I’ve basically been wearing this as a prosthetic for over a year. I tried several hinged & non-hinged models before settling on this one. It’s been a life saver.I wore it every day for a year, and continue to wear it a few times a week… and it’s holding up terrific. The silly logo thing on the bottom peeled off pretty quickly. But it still looks attractive, and slim enough to pass for a sports brace. And it breathes well, it only bothers me on very hot days, and only after several hours. The hinges come out, and be warned they’re a little difficult to put back in. The only time I would recommend taking them out is if you’re laying down or sleeping in it. I’ve only taken them out 2 or 3 times, once to add some WD40. They’re holding up great, low maintenance. The sizing guide is accurate in my opinion – you don’t want it loose, or it won’t do it’s job. If you are having mobility issues, anything that slides on is going to be a bit difficult. But avoid the temptation to get the velcro strap-on kinds, they do not offer as much support. Instead, get help sliding it on and off. It’s fully adjustable, put pressure where you need it, let it out where you want. My only complaints:* I wish it put more pressure around the patella, to hold it into place better. To solve this, you can wear a compression sleeve under the brace. If you’re specifically looking for patella support (like post-op), and don’t care about bulkiness, try the Shock Doctor.* I wish it didn’t have this silly decal on bottom.* Also, I wish they put pull tabs on it, if you’re having problems bending your knee sometimes you may need help getting it off. That’s about it for complaints. This offers support for a lot of different injuries (patella, stabilizing ligaments, thigh, calf, etc). This is light enough and flexible enough even for a little bit of support during exercise, workouts etc (particularly for side-to-side, like basketball or some aerobics). If you just need a little bit of support, maybe try a compression sleeve instead. And if you need lots of support, you might want to check into the Shock Doctor brand instead – I really liked their products also, but even their lightest weight knee brace was a bit bulky, especially behind the leg. By contrast, you forget you’re even wearing the Mueller.Whatever you decide, just do yourself a favor and avoid ACE brand or anything at your local drug store, Walmart, or Target. Those one-size brands will not offer support or compression at any of the important spots, and they won’t save you money either.Good luck!

good brace for the money
I read all the reviews before buying this brace. I have an older mueller brace that works great so when it came time to replace it this I went with mueller again. I am 5ft 10 185 lbs. The large size fits perfectly and the support is just what my knee needs. The hinges allow for more natural movement and it is comfortable to wear, and stays put. There were no defects out of the box. Breaking it in now and will report back on how it wears. I am very happy with this brace

Does a great job, but you may not want to wear it all day
This brace did a nice job providing support and definitely relieved discomfort. I would have given it 5 stars except for two issues the crop up if you wear this all day. First, it can slip a bit. Not horribly, but after a full day of use, it will slip down (less than an inch) and may need to be readjusted. Again, this is after many hours of use. Second is that the end of the hinges can rub against the leg creating some tenderness. This only occurs after wearing it all day. The tenderness goes away immediately if you take the brace off. It is just that after hours of use, you can feel the ends of the hinge rubbing against your leg. But the support provided is noticeable. Once you take the brace off you can immediately feel the lack of support. The hinge provides very nice lateral support, much better than a simple compression brace. It will also provide some cushioning of the joint.

A Great Brace!
My acl completely tore in a kickboxing practice session about 3 months back and the doctor recommended a knee replacement surgery if I want to go back to sports, or an expensive brace to carry on with day to day activities such as work etc. I am planning to get the surgery done next year and in the meantime, was looking for alternative (inexpensive) version of a knee brace to help me walk and reduce impact on my knee. I came across this knee brace in amazon and after reading all the positive reviews, I ordered it. I have had it for over 2 months now and I have nothing but tremendous appreciation for it. Mueller do know what they are making and this brace has helped to walk, recover and get back to normal life. Thanks to the brace, the injury never stopped me from going to work, which requires considerable walking and rushing, and other day to day activities. Being too afraid of any more injuries to knee, I haven’t tried any kind of sports though while wearing this brace :/The quality of the brace is very good, I have been wearing it everyday for over two months now with no signs of wear and tear. The only tricky thing is the size. According to numbers given in the product description, a medium should fit me, but I had to return it and order a large size.I would certainly recommend this brace to anyone who has a unstable knee, especially with ligament tears.

Great brace!
Really good brace at a really good deal! It was a little small in the calf area but fit really well everywhere else. Its a little tight at first but break it in and wear it a few times before u give up on it. I love it it helps me alot and ive torn my meniscus on both sides and my acl in my right knee. I play in a rec bball league and its helped me play with more confidence! Great deal and awesome brace!

Very good stability
This is an excellent brace. I have a torn meniscus and this provides comfortable stability. I wear it riding bikes, going on hikes, and even light jogging. My knee truthfully does feel way better when I wear it. My doctor was the one who recommended this exact brace and I definitely see why!

Es la mejor rodillera que he usado hasta ahora, se ajusta perfectamente y me da una estabilidad superior a mi rotula y mi rodilla a comparación si no lo usará.

Very comfortable, easy to put on. Excellent lateral support and compression, patella support just right. Breathable, allows close to natural range of movement. I have 2 other Mueller knee braces both wrap around which is great for limited hip movement when putting on but this model is substantially better. It’s reasonably easy to put on by laying the brace on the ground and slide your foot as far in as possible. I have found that once I get the top of the brace to my ankle I can then easily pull the rest of the way up. I have osteoarthritis and my knee joint is highly unstable, clicks, grinds and is painful to static stand and subtle movement when sitting also results in shooting pain. This Mueller brace provides just the right amount of pressure to stabilise my knee, stops sitting pain. It is not a sports brace although would be ideal for recovery. Provides enough lateral stability to keep pain when walking with a stick to a minimum. It is comfortable to wear all day. I use the wrap around hinged knee brace if I am doing activities like walking on uneven surfaces, gardening and mowing the lawn. I highly recommend it, Amazon AU delivered the next day, on a Sunday. Increased support and immediate pain relief, light weight, cool and comfortable. Just get one but make sure you get the right size.

Fits exactly as described on Mueller website. I feel more comfortable doing exercise. Good brace.

This brace is very supportive but i found that it became uncomfortable after a little while. It’s also difficult to take on and off. I find the type that open up completely and lay flat easier to use, but maybe that’s just me.
