My husband uses this dry for his arms, and for his back. He 6â7 and built like a line backer. He says he loves how easy the blades are to change, and how he can shave his back all by himself. He never gets razor burn from this either and he has really sensitive skin

Disapponted with a product I love
I’ve used this product for several years now and love it. It’s easy to use and VERY effective at getting the job done. The only reason for this review is to voice my disappointment with the latest replacement blades I received. For some reason, the replacement blades are having trouble staying locked into place. When placed into the shaver there’s a very slight “click” and they seem like they’ll stay locked in place. But then after a couple of “swipes” they simply slide right out and onto the floor. I’ve tried cleaning the hair around every part of the compartments, the sliders and the blades, but nothing seems to work. It’s almost like these new blades were made slightly off – and they just don’t QUITE lock in. Very disappointing development for a product I think is great. I suppose this could all be duetosome kind of “pilot error” on my part, but let’s face it – it’s not THAT hard to figure out. Would love to be sent some tip to remedy this problem if anyone has one. Thanks!

A Must For Those Who Care About Grooming
Iâve been ordering this product for years and being an Italian American male I was born with a little extra hair on my back and not on my head. With that being said, this product is not only amazing, but I never at any time regretted ever purchasing it. I donât have to worry about nicks, cuts, irritation or rashes. The product (when use properly) does an amazing job when it comes to cleaning myself up, looking clean and feeling smooth. No more embarrassment of looking like Iâm wearing a sweater when Iâm on the beach. It gives a very comfortable, close and smooth shave. I havenât tried it in the shower (wet), but Iâve always managed to groom myself every 6 to 8 weeks, then going into the shower. Thatâs always work best for me so if it ainât broke, donât fix it. Always a top-notch product as far as Iâm concerned. No need to be cautious about spending your money on this product. A must for the natural sweater wearers like myself.

Blades don’t last as long as I’d like.
BakBlade does exactly what you expect it to do! The ergonomic handle makes getting hard to reach places relatively easy. Only takes about 5 minutes to do my whole back, compared to 20-30 with shaving cream and a regular razor (which I would have to tape to a back scratcher, no joke).The blades themselves are pretty good. They do leave scratch marks if your not careful and it really depends on how you hold it and how much pressure you apply, but I never felt like it hurt. The blades do get dull rather quickly. I found that after about 5 uses with one set of blades they were already getting rather dull and unusable. Not sure how many uses is normal, but I felt like 5 was rather low. However, the replacement blades were very reasonably priced. If you get the two pack, it comes with a total of 12 blades, which is enough to completely change out the BakBlade 4 times. Considering I get about 5 shaves out of one set of 3 blades, and the 12 pack is around $20, I get a hassle free shave for $1 a use. For guys struggling with back and body hair I think you’ll agree with me when I say it’s worth it!Maybe they will improve the longevity of the blades in the future, but as it stands, BakBlade is an amazing product that I highly recommend to anyone who struggles with back and body hair.

Worth replacing blades periodically
I use my BakBlade about once a week. Stingy as I am, I used one set of blades for a year or more, opting for the ‘dry glide’ feature until it just didn’t work at all. So yeah, it’s worth replacing blades every so often. I think I’ve been on my current pair for 6 months, and they’re still working fine. ymmv. (I’ve had laser treatments in the past, so my hair is fine and relatively thin…though not as thin as on my scalp! Cruel irony…)Fwiw, using shaving foam and a wet shave is much better in every way. The blades seem to last longer, the shave is more efficient, and cleanup is easier. When shaving dry, hair builds up in the plastic guide/safety teeth. Wet/foam, a simple rinse is all that’s needed.The next time I need to replace the blades, I might try swapping the bottom/top to see if I can eek out a few more weeks of service. I bet that works. ð

They work for a refill. Blades for the Bakblade need to be relatively new for the Bakblade to work well. The new blades are a little looser (when inserted) than the original blades, but everything still works.

Where was this thing years ago? I have been shaving my husband’s back for almost 30 years and it used to take forever. He actually bought this to use on his own which, to my amazement, he was able to do. I have done it for him the last few times and just couldn’t believe how well it worked and how much faster it was. I am impressed. I absolutely recommend it.

My only advice is don’t substitute for cheap knock offs! I did exactly that and ended up with blades that were 2 small and literally didn’t cut it. Now having bought these genuine ones I am so much happier! It’s as good as new again. Very happy indeed.Easy to use, great value for the number you get and will last me some time. And the shave quality is spot on, but I will avoid dry shaving in future, definitely use in the shower!! ð¤£
