Old concept with better ingredients
The hydrogel eye patch is nothing new, when K-beauty was hot back in 2015~16, we have seen so many of these products from nearly all K-beauty brands. Yet, the formula has ongoingly improved and this eye patch is made with clean and decent ingredients with high concentration of hyaluronic acid. Here is what I think.Ingredients:So the gel is practically made with water, glycerin, carrageenan (hydro gel patch colloid) and 4th ingredient is sodium hyaluronate. Sodium hyaluronate is low molecular size HA (unlike the dermal filler) and it is supposedly absorbed better into skin. I don’t know the exact concentration but from the texture you can see it’s high enough (it is pretty viscous and sticky.) Collagen, adenosine vitamin E and caffeine also show up in the ingredient, along with many humectants. Phenoxyethanol is used as preservative, so be aware of it if it concerns you. (I don’t mean it’s unsafe, it’s a relatively safe ingredient but some have irritation against this.) I don’t think the blue 1 (meaning coloring dye) was absolutely necessary for this product, but it’s only the last ingredient so it doesn’t concern me a lot.Texture:It has conventional hydrogel patch texture – wet, thin and highly adhesive on the skin. Practically, you can apply it and move around with not so much problem. Due to the relatively high sodium hyaluronate, it makes eye zone very hydrated AND sticky at the same time. But We ALWAYS should know stickiness is actually good thing if it is caused by the good active ingredients as HA. So I do not recommend to use this in the morning before makeup. If you use this as a part of your morning routine, you probably have to wipe out before makeup.Effectiveness:It instantly hydrates the eye zone and make fine lines less visible. Due to the caffeine (and of course cooling temperature), it also relieve the puffiness. The effect is quite instant (of course, it’s not long term. If it is long term, it’s treatment not the cosmetic.)Buy it if you need: a hydrogel eyepatch with relatively clean ingredientsDon’t if you want: to use this before make up. (or properly wipe out or wash before makeup)

Well Packaged Hydrating Eye Patches
I must say that so far I am impressed by the level of thought put into these LANBENA Hyaluronic Acid Hydra-Gel Eye Mask Sheet Collagen Eye Patches Skin Care Eye Gel for Moisturizing Remove Dark Circles Eye Bag. First and foremost, they come very well packaged. The sealed box is labeled underneath with a lot number, manufacturing date, and expiration date over 2 years away. The box also includes use directions, ingredients, and manufacturer information, so everything is transparent which gives me more confidence in the product. Inside, the pleasantly designed light blue jar is foil-sealed under the cap, and includes an additional plastic pull-up lid to prevent the patches inside from drying out or leaking. There is even a small utensil included for removing each eye patch from the jar.With regard to the eye-patch product, each one I’ve tried has been well saturated and stays on my skin well after application. I follow the directions and leave them on my skin for about 10-15 minutes a couple of times per week. I pat the areas with a soft cloth afterwards to smooth out the remaining residue and help with absorption as directed. It leaves my skin in those areas feeling very hydrated and fresh. The only thing I noticed is that the remaining gel is like a magnet for fiber and lint, so I only use a lint-free cloth afterwards to pat the areas. It’s still a bit soon for me to tell how much of a difference these eye patches make versus my usual nighttime moisturizing routine, but I still like the degree of skin hydration that I get from these LANBENA Hyaluronic Acid Hydra-Gel Eye Patches.

Can Be Used on More Than Just the Under Eye Area!
I was a skeptic about under eye patches until I learned that with continued use, patches can actually smooth wrinkles and provide anti-aging benefits to the skin!This formula of LaBena eye patches is infused with gold and pearl to target under eye puffiness and wrinkly skin. These patches are thin, but the manufacturer states that this allows the essence to more easily transfer to the skin. Because they are so thin, you need to be careful picking them up because they do rip. Product instructions state that you should use the included shovel.Once the product is applied, you leave it on the skin for 15-ish minutes (I personally leave them until they dry up, which is approximately 45 minutes) and then remove. The product instructions state to use them 2-3 times per week, and by that order, this product could last you several months. I have been using them daily though with no issue.One thing that I really like about this product is that the patches are large and tadpole-sized. When applied to the under eye, they actually cover the skin beneath the eye, as well, giving that area the benefits of the product too. But perhaps the neatest thing about this product is that they do not have to just be used on the under eye – product instructions show that you can place them anywhere on the face or neck that you need benefits.The most cumbersome thing about this product is they do have a tendency to slip. However, I do not find the slippage to be significant & just move them back up into place.There are a lot of good ingredients in these patches, including Adenosine (soothing), Glycerin (hydration & anti-aging), & Allantoin (soothing).
