VERY comfortable!
Very, VERY comfortable to wear. Minimal interference with day to day activities (except typing on my laptop, then it presses a couple of extra keys! …but not that often.)The one issue is that it it NOT labeled for the Left or Right hand, although this is minor because I doubt most people would need one for each hand, but unfortunately I do. And once I have it on, it is only then that I can tell if it’s for the left or right hand. And I just thought of something I can do to correct it. I can put an ‘L’ on the tag of the left one and that will solve my problem!!!

Gives support
This splint helps support the basilar thumb joint which relieves some of the pain that I normally have had with using my hand. I sleep with it and use it during the day when using my hand a lot. My pain isn’t totally relieved, but it certainly helps.

Great fit
Gift support, but not too rigid, and keeps the thumb just in the right position

Helps but strap could be longer
Velcro wore out after a few weeks. Too expensive for that. Longer strap would’ve helped. Could have adjusted more.
Matthew Bolton –
Great support
It fits snug and offers great support with still having mobility.

The splint fell apart
I ordered 2 splints, one left, one right in April 2024 and after a few washings, in a delicate garment bag, in cold water with Woolite, the supports began to fall apart.

This is the one with the plastic insert and double layer + stitching
This is the one with the plastic insert and double layer + stitching. Costs $10 more than the version without the plastic stiffener ( throw the stiffener AWAY) –but has 2 layers of material in the wrap-around part – and stitching around the edges to hold it together. The other one has 1 layer and no stitching and the velcro and foam separate almost immediately and then disintegrate. This one is the one to get. Can view it on North Coast medical supplier website and see the difference. This one works for people who cannot tolerate the “push” metagrip hard plastic brace ( though can wear THIS one under that one …). Even still the velco pads / stitching came undone – but I stitched them back on with strong thread.
