We have two Yorkies. One is three years old, and she loves squeaky toys. I bought her a toy elephant that was supposed to be “sturdier” than the usual dog toy. By the end of the day, she had torn off one leg, broke the squeaker inside the elephant’s stomach, and bit off part of an ear. Then there was the problem of finding stuffing all over the bedroom. The last straw was catching her chewing a squeaker she had pulled out of the elephant’s leg.This bear by Kong is the perfect size for her. First, it does have a squeaker in her belly, which she loves. But instead of stuffing, there is thick rope inside the bear. So when she chews on the bear, there won’t be stuffing coming out; instead she can continue to chew on the thick rope. There’s no mess with stuffing, and so far, she hasn’t ripped off any arms or legs on the bear. Her other toys are a disaster, but the Kong bear has managed to stay intact. These toys truly are sturdy and designed for heavy chewers. For any toy you give your dog, you need to supervise your pet while he or she plays with it. These bears come as a set, which was perfect for us–each Yorkie has her own toy to play with. Highly recommended, especially for dogs who love toys but are heavy chewers and hard on dog toys.

This toy keeps going long after its head is gone
My dog loves pulling the stuffing out of his toys. Very focused on this task. These by far last the longest. Mind you he has armless and headless teddy bears, he continues to love them just the same. These are his favorites and last so much longer. I buy these as gifts for other dogs. They get rave reviews from their owners as well, for their durability from over aggresive chewers.The rope inside keeps this toy going long after its head is gone. These toys are not indestructible but they last long enough. I will be buying more.

Not durable!
Nope! I had high hopes for this Kong product but within 5 minutes my dog had this torn apart & was pulling out the stuffing and eating it. Thankfully he did not swallow the squeaker!If you do decide to buy this over-priced toy, please supervise your dog at first.I contacted seller & they will NOT refund $. 😢

This is his favourite toy and we have many of them. We play tug, throw and fetch, and hide the bear. The bear holds up well to pretty strong tugging. We only allow supervised play as eventually he will stop playing with them and chew on them. Noble gives this bear 12/10, furless mom gives it a 9/10 as she does have to repair or replace them eventually.

Beagle took to the toy straight away – which he doesn’t always do. It’s been a few weeks and the toy remains intact. I’d expected the tennis ball feet to have been detached by now, but oddly they are still connected to the toy. Miracle.
