Good incense holder, fairly good incense
Scents are subjective. My preferences are definitely for Asian scents. Frankincense. Myrhh. Cedar. Real jasmine. Those kinds of things. Not a fan of fruity, vanilla, artificial kinds of scents.Now, the incense that came with the holder is good. Not great, but good. I’ve smelled much worse, but I also have much better. I like that they are bamboo-free, which gives a more pure scent.The holder itself is pretty and functional.The little indent which holds the incense semi-upright is a bit wider so that it’s easy to dump of the stump that doesn’t burn.The base is wide enough to catch the ash from the short sticks it came with. It is too narrow to catch all the ashes from my longer Japanese sticks; due to the angle they rest at, ashes fall onto the table or counter. They’re also a bit thinner than the Indian sticks, which increases their angle further. However, it’s much easier to use than the cheap bamboo holder I was using before and I don’t mind wiping up a few ashes. Just be careful to not place this on delicate surfaces.The whole package says it’s made in India. Whatever that might mean to you.One niggle, and it’s the primary reason it lost a star, is the choice to attach the holder to the package using double-sided foam tape. That was a bad choice. The remains of the tape are pretty much impossible to remove from the bottom and I gave up.Overall, this will see much use. The sticks are nice enough that I’ll eventually burn them all. I burn 1-2 sticks per day.

Pretty and unique, but doesn’t hold incense very well
I like the flower design of this incense holder very much. It is large enough that it will catch any ash that falls, and the color is very pretty. I also like that it has pads on the bottom to protect the surface of your furniture. However I agree with other reviewers that the hole to hold the incense is a little bit too big. The incense sticks don’t stand up straight, and it feels like they could fall out very easily. Also, the incense that was included arrived broken into many pieces, so it wasn’t really usable. If I can find some incense sticks that are a bit larger in diameter, that will probably help, but in the meantime I’m a little nervous to use it.

Beautiful Burner with Fragrant Incense!
I love this lotus flower incense burner. It’s so pretty, and fits nicely on an altar space for meditation. The incense sticks smell lovely and burn in less than 30 minutes, which is nice for a meditation session or personal prayer/chanting time, or just for bringing a nice fragrance to your home. The hole in the center is small enough to fit the incense well and could fit incense from a variety of different companies with small variations in thickness.In Buddhism, the lotus flower is sacred as great beauty grows out of the mud. In this way, we can turn the bad things that have happened in our lives into a beautiful life full of richness and joy. I like to meditate on this when I am lighting my incense.One reviewer mentioned that it would be hard to search out this incense. Not so! This burner can be used with Japanese-style smokeless and low smoke incense, some of which is extremely economical. Just search here for smokeless incense to get an example. It’s easy to find and easy to use, and works well in small spaces since it is lower smoke than a stick that contains wood or bamboo. Often these smokeless types of incense come only with a tiny tile. This burner is much more substantial, and pretty darn lovely. Recommended!

Wanted to love it but I don’t
I’ve tried lots of different incense and incense burners over the years. Sadly, I was very disappointed in this one on both counts.I don’t usually buy incense on line unless I know the brand, you can’t smell a phone screen, lol, but I was hoping the little flower dish worked, it did not.The incense sticks are nice and small and burn for about 25 minutes, which I like. Unfortunately, none of these smell like the sents they claim to be. They all have the same basic undertone which isnt very good and they don’t smell anything like the names on the packages. Nag Champa is one of my absolute favorites and this doesn’t even come close.The burner, although it is pretty and has a nice heavy weight to it with rubber pads on the bottom, it makes no sense to me. You can only use this for the smaller incense sticks, not the larger ones, and as you can see in the picture I uploaded, the ashes/burned stick, falls outside of the flower onto the table. Makes no sense.So sadly, no, I would not recommend this product.

The incense is very nice. The holder itself is pretty poorly made. It does not sit flat on the table, and looks like it may have been made by a child. Pretty bad quality.

I get headaches with smells that are too strong, including incense. These incense sticks are perfect for me as a person with that sensitivity. I am not saying they are weak, as to me the smell is still quite strong. I just know there are people who prefer more potency.I appreciate that they are bambooless. I am not particular when it comes to incense scents in general, so I find these three scents very nice. Perhaps basic to some, but I think they are great choices for this set, and for anyone just getting into incense.The incense holder is gorgeous. Made well and no flaws to be seen. It has a vibrant deep blue, almost indigo color with detailing on the petals. It catches the ashes exactly as it should.The way the set is packaged is really attractive – it is something I would feel confident gifting.For those with different scent preferences, perhaps consider making other sets. Overall, I have no complaints. Great product for a great price!
