A Neat Hack Fixes These – Thumb This Review Up!
So I see quite a few reviews talking about discomfort. I’ve had it too. I wear these at night for a full 8 hours. When I’d wake up my nose would ache. The following hack allows me to use them for 8 hours without any discomfort.Look at the photos I’ve included with this review. The trick is to get tissue paper or toilet paper and fold it over and over again to make it thicker. You want the width of this paper to fit into the middle of the nasal dilator so that only the paper makes contact with your nose. Allow the paper to float a little higher than the two nubs that press against your inner nose.Tip #2: When looking at the nasal dilator from above, I find if the dilator is shaped like a W, that works better when inserting it into my nostrils. If you look at it from above and it has the shape like the letter M I find it to be less comfortable and it doesn’t open up the nasal passage as much. Test it out yourself and see what works best.It might be a little tricky to put this into your nose without the paper shifting. Just take your time. You can attempt to put it in again if you fail. Just readjust the paper before trying to insert it into your nostrils again. I like to insert the dilator one nostril at a time. If you have a deviated septum, put it in the nostril that breaths in the least amount of air first, then into your other nostril. The reason why this “hack” works is because of something I noticed when my nose would ache after hours of use. The nasal dilator has a concentrated surface area of pressure (the two nubs). By putting the tissue paper in the middle, it causes the nub pressure within your nose to dissipate over a larger surface area (the entire length of the paper). I came up with this idea one night. It made sense in theory, so I tested it, and it worked!Doing this hack in my opinion makes it the best sleeping nasal dilator on the market. All the other nasal dilators on the market have flaws in comfortability that aren’t easy to fix. This device is entirely unique in its shape from what I’ve seen from all the options sold on Amazon. The paper hack stays secure the entire night. In the morning, simply throw out the paper and the following night make a new one for your next day of sleep. Make sure to use clean tissue paper, since you will be inserting it into your nasal passage for the entire night.Good luck! Thumb this review up so others can see it if this hack worked for you too.

Hurts
They didn’t work for me. My nose is small and they didn’t fit and therefore hurt the inside of my nose.I do not recommend for people who have smaller nostrils.

Be careful
The first night I used one it was fine. The second night hurt so bad. I had to take them out and it caused my nose to bleed. The inside of my nose it very tender today.

Can’t sleep without them!
Altho these were marketed for wearing under a mask…They are the same as the ones marketed as a sleep aid. But the mask branded ones were a tad cheaper at the time I looked on Amazon. Either kind works the same. Are these right for you? It depends. A good test would be to try putting a Q-tip up your nose and gently pushing your nostril outwards towards your ear. If you feel the airflow is much better while pushing out your nostril, then it’s likely these inserts will provide around the same benefit. If the Qtip trick doesn’t work, then it’s a good indication that the point of restricted air flow is too high up for inserts to work.I’ve used these for years due to sinus issues/deviated septum. Can’t sleep without them! And when I get sinus pressure headaches, these and a heated eye mask work wonders! These inserts are a much more effective way to fully open up your nasal passage…and a much easier longterm solution than ripping adhesive strips from your nose 365 days a year.Unknown why they say they are only good for a month or two… They last way longer. So yes, they do seem overpriced, but they last quite a long time. When they do die, they just start to lose their grip/tension and either no longer provide the tension to hold the nasal passage open as well as before or they slip out at night. So that’s when you know it’s it’s time to replace them… Lol.If you are a newbie trying them, you might need time to adjust since it’s weird having something up your nose at first. But you will eventually get used to them and not even notice them anymore.Plus, some newbies noses may be a bit sore in the middle of night or in morning (like that feeling when you slept on your ear wrong). You may simply need time to adjust to them…. Or perhaps they weren’t inserted correctly to begin with. But, if you feel they are just too tight hugging your nose (or if the wings feel way too big), you can gently stretch/squeeze/manipulate them until they feel more comfy. You can also wear them inserted as a W shape or upside down as an M shape depending on what works best for your nose. The plastic is not soft and squishy like silicone. It’s a flexible yet firm rubbery/smooth plastic.Highly recommend!

Works well
I feel your rating could depends on what you expect from these. I feel like when I lay down its difficult to breathe from my nostrils. I have tried breathing strips and they just make my skin irritated by morning, or fall off. These are not the most comfortable to have in your nose for several hours but they do make it easier to breathe. Sometimes they end up falling out in the middle of the night. I feel like they do help reduce snoring.

Little too soft
They opened my nostrils a bit but didn’t stay where I needed them to be .
