British foods
If you live in the States, then you should look for a different cookbook. This one has a lot of unfamiliar foods since the author is British. There is even a section dedicated to high tea options. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure some of the recipes will turn out delicious, but this not what I was looking for in terms of an easy allergen free cookbook. Examples include whitebait, sponge buns, chips (not the kind you are thinking), biscuits (not the kind you are thinking), kedgeree, muesli, sultana, and other such things that Americans are unfamiliar with. Also, I like pictures but this is nothing but words.

having these issues in life its hard to find a book that is helpful with recipes & good info to help with coping with these problems, A very good book to have good value for over 100 pages to look through .
Ann –
Very practical and well thought out. The recipes do not need a zillion difficult to buy ingredients. This makes a difficult diet change easier to handle. ð

This is a book published 1984 then revised in 2001, and is full of practical advice. Not all of it is suitable for coeliacs, but then, it doesn’t claim to be. The recipe for pastry for sweet tarts is easy and tasty. The menu suggestions are helpful. I know that I will dip into this for ideas over and over again.
