Nice lighter – flashlight combo
Perfect solution for night charcoal grilling. For those of us who grill the traditional way (real charcoal), this lighter not only will easily ignite newspaper in windy conditions, the flashlight provides a decent amount of light to check on what’s on the grill. With grilling spare shelf space at a minimum, his is a very good 2-in1 solution.

Works great
The lighter works great. I do wish I had known it emits a high pitched sound I can barley hear but my dogs go nuts when I use it.

LOVE IT
My wife bought this as a fathers day present because I love camping/ survival. Works great and seems to stay charged for a long time. The flashlight is fairly bright if that feature matters to you. Its almost like a mini taser. I like the color as Chartreuse is up my alley since Green is one of my favorite colors. Looks great, holds up to being dropped, starts fires, and the extending head was nice so I dont burn my fingers like a BIC. Highly recommend for the outdoorsy types. Glad to have it added to my survival toy collection

Four way comparison; feature consideration discussion
Summary: Decided to order a plasma/tesla style lighter for my wife’s candles, and while I was at it, I decided on a few more. I’ll discuss what factors I considered when ordering these four, as well as some features that I considered deal breakers.Observations:1) For all styles, here are some considerations: a) single or multiple (double or triple) plasma arcs, b) battery size.2) For long neck style: Two variations to choose from: a) flexible neck, and b) solid. I went with solid because it has the added feature of retracting the tip into the neck for added protection (did not see one that was both flex and retractable). The flexible neck would be better for odd lighting angles like a gas grill or stove top.3) For pocket carry: Lots of features: a) protruding or recessed plasma tips, b) extra features like a flashlight. All the ones I bought feature both a dual plasma arc, and protruding tip. The dual arc I felt would have better lighting capability. The LCFUN is the most basic, without a light; the added benefit is that there is no external button which could get bumped in a bag and drain the battery; this is the LCFUN is the one that’s going into my EDC pack. The absense of a button is also more waterproof. The Survival Frog and GESPERT both have a simple LED light with three modes (low, high, strobe).4) Other features: I looked for some other features: a) removable battery, b) large battery; but didn’t choose any of those offerings. Some other features I found that were deal breakers are: extra safety features, such as having to press the button three times, and then another to finally ignite (that’s too much, and cumbersome).Recommendations: There are some tasks which a plasma (vs. gas/butane/flame) lighter will not work for: a) heat shrink tubing.
