This product functions very well for what it is to be used for. You do need to follow the instructions provided by putting it in the toilet monthly. The seal is great. There was no leakage of the product. The smell is a little strong but not too bad. It took two times of use for this to work every time. I have lots of lime in the water so it made the speed a little slower. The value for the money is about average. If you don’t have lime in your water this product will be effective.

We have used this product every month like clockwork. Our septic has stayed good for YEARS using this. So many people tell me that they have to have the tank pumped every year, we have been fine!I do not use a lot of harsh chemicals in the house. That may have something to do with the health of the tank as well.I highly recommend Rid-X for anyone who has a septic system.
