About Us

In 1950, Conrad Jobst founded JOBST in Toledo, Ohio. Born in Germany, Conrad was both a mechanical engineer and inventor. He applied his varied expertise and personal experience to the development of gradient compression garments, which relieve the symptoms of venous insufficiency.

Today, JOBST is an Essity-owned brand.

What is Gradient Compression?

Garments with gradient compression have the greatest pressure at their base and reduce pressure as the compression garment goes up the arm or leg.

This helps encourage the movement of fluids, whether it’s blood circulation or lymph fluid circulation.

    The best.
Jobst stockings are of the highest quality. The fabric is smooth and not irritating, the elastic band at the top does not dig in creating pain, they stay up without wrinkling, in my case for up to 16 hours a day. They are relatively easy to put on compared to some of the other brands I’ve tried. … What works for me is to pull the top of the stocking down over the bottom portion until the heel is just at the fold. Then I insert my foot and pull the stocking as hard as I can until the heel is in place, then I pull the rest of the stocking up where it needs to go, then smooth upwards with my hands to make sure I get out all the wrinkles and spread the compression evenly…. The toeless stockings work the best because there is no issue with extra material inside your shoe or having the toe of the stocking jam up against your toes- which can be very uncomfortable. And they look nice in sandals. ……. Hoping to save a few dollars, I tried some lesser brands, but none of them worked out at all. I fought like crazy with one pair to get them on with help of a friend and managed to do it, but couldn’t stand them because the top band was so tight. When I removed them I discovered that the process of putting them on actually bruised my legs because they were so Inflexible. After that experience, I decided that Jobst is well worth the extra money. I highly recommend them.

    These are absolutely perfect!
I Put this pair on I could not believe They were exactly the right color, exactly the right length and they feel great! I have ordered so many pairs in the past that are too long for petite women and the color is too light for someone with Olive skin tone. I will definitely order more of these! Thank you Jobst

    A must have!
These compression socks have become a game-changer for me. The snug yet comfortable fit provides excellent support, making them perfect for long days on my feet or during workouts. I love the way they enhance circulation, reducing fatigue and swelling. The quality of the material ensures durability, maintaining their effectiveness over time. Beyond the practical benefits, the stylish designs make them a fashionable choice for everyday wear. These compression socks have truly earned a permanent spot in my wardrobe, combining comfort, support, and style seamlessly.

    Nice Fit, Decent Price
I like the socks’ compression level and the design with the “pocket” for the heel. Unfortunately, this nice feature is also what causes the socks to fail. I can’t really complain though. The three pairs I ordered in January 2023 lasted until October, when the heels began to split and fail. I wore them almost daily. Liked them enough to reorder now. Nice fit, decent price.

    not for long term use
they fit right. they look fine. the heel though, it’s the thinnest part of the material and it’s the first part that gets a hole in it. I’ve also found that the fit well and adjust to your feet length as you train them (I like it above my big toe knuckle but below the toes). BUT…. they wear out way too quickly, start to get stretched and no longer are effective at their rating. I went through 4-5 pairs of this hot mess before I woke up and tried something else.I also waited to review until I tested out some DocMiller and they get the heel right, long term effectiveness, but not the best at being trained. when new, I prefer the fit of Jobst, but that is short lived as the heel quickly gets holes. I mean seriously, the part that gets the most action and contact has the least thick material, doesn’t even make sense.

Superb long lasting well fitting for longer legs and women who don’t mind them not being sheer.
Jobst brand is the best support socks. I’m a retired nurse and have bought many brands. These last the best and work the best. These are Unisex which means they are longer than standard women’s support stockings. I like that as I’m longer than usual in the calf area. They are also heavier and more opaque than Jobst Sheer which was designed for women. I like that as they tend to last longer, and I don’t need to dress up much anymore. If you want sheer, or shorter length, definitely buy Jobst Sheer as they last long too, but are shorter and thin like nylons.Wash these in a stocking bag in the washer (cool or warm water) then lay/hang them out to dry. I try mine on my bed and they’re dry in part of a day. Do not dry in drier unless you don’t mind replacing them frequently, as it ruins the elasticity. They tend to wear holes in the heels about the time the elastic is getting worn out.Get proper fit from a medical supply store first as they know all the tricks to getting the right fit and putting them on, like using gloves to rub them into position rather than pulling on the upper section, and remove from the top by peeling them inside out.

Buena compra. Definitivamente se nota la calidad con respecto a otros productos similares. El precio es la única desventaja, pero vale la pena si se necesitan usar constantemente. Son cómodas de usar y no las sentí calurosas

I bought 2 different brands at the same time. This pair is not as good as the other brand Truform. It can’t control the swelling of my ankle well. I won’t buy it again.

I will not be buying these open toe stockings again. They rode up on my foot and caused irritation. I did not want to return them as I had worn them a couple of times.
