Very healthy and simple – but thankfully, very tasty food too.
I bought this book because I saw a salad recipe from it published elsewhere. I’m glad I did, because it is full of healthy but very tasty recipes – and that is a big difference from many “health food” cook books. Although it is published with “guys” in mind and it assumes they don’t know how to cook because it spells out everything you need to know to make the recipes, I would say the title is misleading. I’m not a “guy”, I am a competent cook, and I really like the fact this book gives me a new repertoire of recipes that leads me to what we should all be cooking and eating. My boys like the food but also my girls do too. This is a valuable cookbook that will last the distance because it is not full of faddy or fashionable recipes – it is full of the kinds of recipes we should be eating daily for the rest if our lives. The bonus is that it is the kind of food we will like eating too. I’m glad I found this book

5 years of healthy, delicious recipes.
This cookbook is fantastic. I bought it 5 years ago and have been constantly going back for recipes/inspiration ever since. The recipes are healthy & delicious. Provides calorie counts (approximate since I always modify a bit). My wife could burn a salad and has numerous dietary restrictions in addition to being a picky eater. She loves everything weâve ever cooked from Guy Gourmet and the instructions are simple/well written enough that she can also make it perfectly! Great cookbook for a single man or a couple! Should also add that Iâve made a career in Food & Beverage. I have pretty high standards for a cookbook.

Purchased for Husband, Read it myself
We recently moved into a new home with a very family friendly cooking area. My husband has been chopping, grilling, sauteing, and whipping up delicious meals for the last 3 months.I saw this advertised in my (yes, I get it for me) Men’s Health Magazine and thought it would be a great purchase for him. Of course I ordered it from Amazon because – hey! Who doesn’t love better prices and a Prime Membership shipping perk?!The style of writing in this cookbook is great. Very user friendly and fun. Tips on the actual cooking of meats and veggies, the selection of knives, a list of kitchen “must have” tools and pans and even a crockpot!I haven’t been subscribed to the magazine for more than a year, so for me to have these recipes in one place is a bonus. No more page tear-and-store and never use. (I found the same was nice when I got the Clean Eating Magazine Cookbook 1).There are recipes in here for breakfast, lunch sandwiches, dinner, date nite, and party night. Also recipes for infused liquors and other drink recipes.Personally I prefer a cookbook with lots of photos of the food, but they do not offer a picture of every recipe. The book would be much larger I’m assuming and therefore more expensive.I did order and receive the hardback copy of this book which has a nice gift quality to it.We did not have any prior copies of any Men’s Health cookbooks, but I do own many of the Clean Eating Diet cookbooks so I understand the “recycled recipe” comments.*Note– I would say that this book is way cooler than the CE for Men book. So, for the group who may wonder which to select as a gift I would pick this FIRST.Please let me know if you have some questions! I’m ready to answer.

top 3 cookbooks a guy ever needs.
the second is anything from julia child and the third is how to stay alive in the woods (look em up.)but seriously, this is quite possibly my favorite cookbook to date. being a guy, I gave it a shot after reading a review in men’s health and damn, it really impressed. love the designed and thought put into the layout of the book itself. plus the recipes are delicious! I use this book for entertaining, fast weeknight meals when work runs late, lunch prep for the week, it even has a section on how to grocery shop (may be obvious stuff, but certainly helped me out.)honestly, one of the best cookbooks out there. plus it looks cool on a bookshelf.

His sister liked it so well
Possibly the only cookbook you will need? Especially for a starter! So many helpful hints and cooking techniques along with delicious recipes! Bought one for a grandson who is “batching” for the first time! His sister liked it so well, that we got her one also! That did it, bought one for myself and grandson-in-law. We do like our food!

Great book very easy to understand and follow the directions
Great book very easy to understand and follow the directions. It contains a lot more than just recipes and will get anybody on the right path to tasty healthy eating. I recommend this book for anybody that likes to cook and enjoys time in the kitchen. If youâre looking for a quick 5-minute dinner meal book then this is not it.

Meat-heavy
I was expecting more interesting, diverse recipes like I sometimes see in the zine but these recipes are typical, not very exciting and pretty meaty.

GREAT BOOK
this a great book for a new cook. It was very easy to read and cook the recipes plus the pics really helped. Best of all the food was good and fairly good for you. Well written and very doable.

Esta muy bien hecho, la pasta dura lo hace mejor, no tiene muchas fotos pero las recetas son muy buenas, ya llevo un par.

Bought this book to give to my girlfriends brother, he had recently moved out on his own. Not a big cook so the recipes had to be easy to follow with minimal effort or minimal equipment needed. This book is it, easy, delicious recipes without too much fuss. He loved it!

Looked good quality and interesting, but itâs a Xmas Present so cant comment on the recipes.

Has a great variety of cultured foods, and for a beginner like me it has very simple instruction and a nice summary to have a good idea of what the end result should be like. Has meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper, and appetizers.
