Pretty sturdy
I had bought 2 from Walmart that literally fell apart on first use and made me drop a jar. I’ve been using this for a few months now and it’s pretty solid and works quite well. It’s not built so fits nice into my kitchen drawer when not in use. It’s not very heavy and easy to clean.

I recently canned salsa and did not have the jar lifter for the first batch. I ordered this jar lifter in time for the second one. Worked like a charm and I did not burn my fingers. Holds well and no slipping. That was what I was afraid it would do, however, my fears were unnecessary.

Buy this if you do any canning!
I don’t normally do much canning, but started making jalapeño jelly recently. I though I could get by with regular kitchen tongs or by using a silicone pad to grab the jars. After dropping jars, I realized it wasn’t a good plan! Now that I have real canning tongs it will be easier. It’s a good design. These tongs hold the jars securely and easily. They seem to be made well; I expect them to last a long time. Why did I wait so long to buy them?
