Do you have raccoons?
I REALLY like this feeder! It is the first auto feeder I have purchased. We live in the country and found a momma cat and 4 kittens on our front porch recently. She was pretty frail, so we started putting food out for her and the kittens and it was well received.We were going to be traveling for a week, so I went looking for a feeder. I consciously had raccoons on the brain when I was shopping. I was looking for one with a shape that I could have a shot at somehow securing. This one has a nice flat top and I envisioned being able to place something heavy’ish on it. I was right. I imagined that I would have a decent chance of beating the raccoons. I was wrong.The first night, I placed a small weight on it to test the waters. Came out the next morning and found the feeder about 3 feet from where I had placed it. It was on its side and in several pieces (not broke, just disassembled… much of the product is held together by gravity).The next night, I placed a 16x8x2 inch concrete patio paver on top of it. It weighed in at just over 16.5 pounds. The feeder certainly wasn’t designed with this in mind, but it held up like a champ. The feeder was up against a wall, so the front and two sides were exposed.My greatest regret was that I placed all of this directly under my security camera, out of its line of sight. I came out the next morning and again found it laid over and in pieces with the patio stone on the ground where the feeder previously was. The security footage showed a raccoon come up and was evidently there for 15-20 mins then left. A little later it came back with a friend to finish the job.We were leaving that day so I hung my head in defeat and let the neighbor take care of the cats. I’m certain that I can up with a better challenge for the raccoons, but I haven’t tried yet.To this feeder’s credit though, it took a beating those two nights and survived with only a few scuffs on the face where they were evidently dragging it across the porch. Still works perfectly. Also to the feeder’s credit, it has a VERY flexible feeding schedule which was easy to set up. My original plan was to feed 3 or 4 times during the day and try to limit what food was left in the bowls overnight to maybe limit what was attracted to it. That attraction portion of that sentence was just dumb thinking on my part. The scheduling part worked perfect though.As I was putting it together the first time (super easy) I actually caught myself thinking “oh, that’s a smart way to design that…” I don’t do that often. It really is a neat design overall. I can vouch that comes apart and cleans very easy if you find it covered in racoon drool.I was able to plug it in, but it has a nice battery backup for peace of mind.In came into this purchase knowing that I was going to be asking something of it that in no way it was advertised to do. It met every expectation, was easy to use, holds a ton of food, is easy to clean and is very robust. 5 stars from me.

Worth every penny
Skeptical if my cats would eat from it at first but after 1/2 hour no problem! We have 3 indoor cats who have a 1x a day cat sitter when we are vacationing. I needed some way to give them a little extra during the day without eating it all at once. This feeder was perfect! Easy set up, adjustable times and amount to feed, can even record a message! Sturdy and easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Great feeder, but still up to the cats decision
I personally really like this feeder. It holds a bunch of kibble which lasts me about 1-2 weeks, depending. I haven’t had any noticeable issues with dispensing so far, but my kibble is well below the max suggested size.The user interface is very easy to figure out and use. Very clean design, simple to use or make changes to feeding schedule or portion sizes. The audio recording option also comes through loud and clear. I also really enjoy that it’s battery operated and has a power cord for the wall.Cleaning seems very easy, and I enjoy that there are metal inserts to the food bowls that come out.As much as I like the feeder, my cats don’t like it too much. I think the way it dispenses food is a little louder than my old feeder and it spooks them. They also don’t really like eating out of the food bowls like they did my previous feeder. Perhaps they don’t like how the bowls are so close to the feeder and it feels like they’re too close to a wall or something. My one cat refuses to eat from the feeder at all and I have to remove the metal insert to feed him a few feet away from the feeder. Which kinda defeats the purpose. He’s always been a finicky cat though so it’s lar for the course. All in all I really like this feeder and would suggest it to others, but only if your cats are open to new ideas… My cats just don’t like it unfortunately

I have never written a review before but this product needed to be my first. I have two cats and I’ve had two different feeders before so this is my third that I had to buy when one of my old feeders crapped out on me. I was simply going to buy a replacement but fell onto the dual feeder and was intrigued.Let me tell you, it’s cheaper and better than any feeder I’ve had.-The bowls are stainless steel and removable so it’s easy to clean and hygienic-The machine can be taken apart to clean out the food receptacle (my old feeders could never)-The buttons are user friendly but can’t be manipulated by my highly food driven cats (my old feeder I had to hold down buttons, push others, wait for flashing numbers to change them, if I overshot a number I had to cycle through again until I got the right one, etc.) this one is so simple and then locks so that your cat can’t mess with it.-the base is super sturdy and supported by 4 metal dowels so my cat can’t knock it down (her favourite sport)-the hole from which the food comes out of is cat proof, my cat can no longer shove her paw up there to make food fall down.-there is up to 6 time slots I can program to feed my cats so I can keep them active throughout the day with small portions.If you have an overly intelligent bully of a cat that loves to body check feeders, shove their paws up the shoot or my cats personal favourite, lift the non removable tray of my old machine to make the whole thing teeter and fall to spill food, this machine is your solution.My cat senses this machine isn’t to be trifled with and doesn’t even try anymore. This thing is indestructible and honestly, as I was assembling it I kept thinking, “omg this is such a well thought-out, smart, design” and I don’t feel I can say that about much these days.Highhhhhlllyyyyyy recommend this machine, my last machine was all one piece and after 4 years that thing was disgusting I felt so bad for my cats but now I can make sure their food is kept in a clean, dry, washable feeder. Plus it looks small but the reservoir holds quite a bit of food, I’m not filling it often.

I often leave for work and wanted a way to feed both my cats without having to be there – I went for this with some suspicion typical of cat owners delegating stuff, and was really surprised!It works well, is very customisable and after the first feed the cats got used to it and circle the feeder like sharks minutes before the timer sets off.Most importantly it’s proven to be theft proof, both of them have tried robbing the feeder of its content but without any success. Would recommend!

The really smart thing about this automatic feeder is how easy it is to set up the feeding regime. Everything was very easy to set up an even the instruction booklet was simple and easy to follow! One criticism though (mentioned by others) is that the legs and feeding trays seem to be help together only by gravity, which make repositioning difficult. Such a shame that such as basic thing has over-shadowed the excellent function of this device.
