Splint was comfortable and functional given that I had broken my thumb. Easy to put on and remove when necessary. Solid product.

Just the Thumb, and No Wrist Contraption …
… is what I needed and this is what I got. Most thumb braces, while still effective, have a hold wrist system in place and it gets too hot and too cumbersome. This is easy to fit with a single small velcro strap and the metal casing gives you great protection. Go low profile while you’re healing and pick these up.

Maybe I have thick fingers?
I bought these when I broke my thumb and needed something to protect it from jarring. Unfortunately, they seemed to be designed for someone with more slender fingers than I because it put too much pressure on the finger to be able to wear for any period of time. Also, the Velcro band that holds it in place managed to snag on everything. The design and production of them is solid and it would probably be fine for one of my fingers rather than my thumb. I am keeping the set in case I injure one of my fingers later (Iâm a bit of a klutz).

Buy these if you have a 10 year old with a broken thumb
My 10 year old (going on 11) broke his thumb. These were a MUST because the doctor gave us 1…yes ONE total. I did use a wrap (bought separately) to help keep them on because he is so active. I would when wrap it around the thumb and wriast. The splints were great. They would discolor on the inside (foam part). They would also bend too after repeated us. I think we had 9 in rotation, plus the 1 from the doctor. My son plays hard (beach, pool, etc.) so we needed that man so they could dry out. We event used them at amusement parks too. I am so thankful they sold these on Amazon because they were a MUST for his thumb healing process.

simple but effective
I overworked my thumb while staining our deck and it seemed to be progressing to trigger thumb. So I bought this set of splints for my thumb. The splint is quite comfortable because it has foam on the inside. It seemed to be compressing the top of my thumb a little too much, so I bent it a little to adjust and it fits fine now. I wore the splint day and night for almost a week, then reduced to nighttime and during light activities that might stress my thumb, avoiding all intense activities. I’ve had to use my left hand or ask my husband for help but the thumb is now doing great! I will continue to wear the splint like this for a few more weeks, just to be sure. The only thing I don’t like about the splint is the velcro strap. It is well-designed but even though the rough side is on the inside, the edges were snagging my clothes. So I sewed a piece of wide elastic to fit and that has worked out fine. Also, it is easy to wash with some soap and water, though I wouldn’t do this too often since the glue might not be waterproof. Note: I am a female with a ring size of 5-1/4.
