The Mary’s Aide transfer sling provides the caregiver with a secure hold and control of the patient during the transfer process. Worn over the patients clothes, the Mary’s Aide supports 100% of the patients weight. Unlike gait belts, it won’t ride up or bind. Rear hand grips provides added support for ambulation activities. Excellent Product
Made of strong material with the large Velcro straps doubling as secure handles. Excellent when supporting a patient to stand up from a bed and stabilizing with a walker. Very useful for support when transferring to a car seat.

This sling is very well made and very strong to hold the patient. I’ve had it for a year now and it still looks and works like new. Be aware the idea is that the person needs to be able to stand. My mother does not, but if I turn her back to the edge of the bed, I can just slide her into the wheelchair without hurting my back. It is a wonderful product, but I wish it would have come in different sizes. The Velcro straps are adjustable, but I had to sew the sling part, and even then, it is super big. If that’s what you need, then this is definitely the product for you. Otherwise, be prepared to alter.

Ease of use
I have a friend who is wheelchair-bound and thought this would help her husband transfer her from the chair to the couch and/or bed, but it is inconvenient to have to strap it under her crotch and it is not easy to assist with bathroom transfers.
