Easy, effective and affordable hardwood shine.
I began using this abiut two years on the main floor of my house which is completely hardwood. I didn’t like the dull look of the floors when I bought the house and wanted to find something that’s relatively easy to apply, safe and removable if needed. After several applications on the floors (roughly twice a year, but more frequent in higher traffic areas) I’ve been very satisfied. I’ve also improved my skills to apply this product and care for it over these two years. Her are my key highlights.• never apply it to a wet or damp surface. Or use it in combination with a floor cleaner or even water. Follow the instructions they give. Apply it on a dry and preferably completely dust free surface (although, I will confess, I does tolerate some dust pretty well, essentially masking it within the sheen). Some of the customer complaints about leaving a residue or smudging is likely because they did not follow thus Simone rule. Cleaning and thoroughly drying the floors is really the key to the success of thus product, don’t be lazy about it.• use a microfiber padded mop and perform long and steady strokes. Do not “over-mop” a section once it starts settling and drying (and it dries fast) because you will dull the surface or create smudging. It’s pretty much like applying paint – do it quickly but carefully with as few strokes as you can for uniformity if the sheen.• Do not apply too much in hopes of getting a better shine or flatter surface. Using too much of this At once Results in non-uniform drying and “cloudiness”. If you want thicker coverage or higher sheen, apply multiple layers by patiently waiting each layer to completely dry.• When applying, make sure your mop or cloth doesn’t start drying. Again, just like when painting, if your mop starts drying it will release crumbs all over the surface. It actually may not be noticeable from afar but you’ll definitely feel the non-smoothness of the surface. If your mop has been sitting for too long just wash it immediately with warm water and pick up a dry mop to continue to work. Again, just like painting: wash your brush immediately and never use a damp brush.• I’d say this product is fairly resilient to scratching and spillage. I can confidently say that water spillage does no harm to it whatsoever even when it’s left to dry. Most common cleaners and acidic foods will erode the polish though. And I actually don’t mind so much because it’s another sign that it’s a relatively natural and safe product To handle and to maintain. If you incur eroded spots on the floor don’t try to “spot fill” them. Reapply the product over a reasonable area that covers a spot and it will naturally try to fill in the “sunken” spot.

Covers 75-year-old wood floors with a shine
I live in aN old House, close to 100 years old and I’m told the floors are original – often evidence by stains and gouges. Product covers the old sores and leaves them with a nice shine, Just enough to make them attractive, but not so shiny that it looks like plastic. Good value.
