Very nice pet carrier!
This carrier is very nice and is a great size for a large Maine Coon cat or a medium sized dog. It is very sturdy and the bottom holds up nicely without sagging. It is collapsable and easy to store. It has a very small pocket attached to it, one con in my opinion as it isn’t very useful for anything. The first time I connected the metal frame together, I thought it was almost impossible but after putting it on the floor and pulling it up really hard, it finally came together. The 2nd time, was slightly easier. It is larger than a normal size pet carrier, but the size is still easy enough to carry with the shoulder strap and not too cumbersome. It’s great to use for traveling in the car too. Please do not put your pets in the front seat. No matter what the frame is made of, metal or plastic, the car’s airbag will kill the animal if you’re in an accident. Always transport in the back seat! Finally found the ONE!
This is my 5th cat carrier… my cat does not do well in the car, but I travel a lot and she has to go with me. The others were either too small for long trips, or way too cumbersome, weak and she would roll around in them, causing her to become more agitated. I loved her first carrier, if they only made in a bigger size, it would have been perfect. So I knew I needed a metal frame, and one that was big enough for her to stretch out and feel comfortable. This thing is AWESOME! It’s definitely big enough, she only weighs 8lbs, but she seems to do much better with more room, as though she’s claustrophobic in a smaller carrier. She can easily stand, lay down or sit in this carrier. I also keep my carrier out so she can go inside of it whenever she chooses, so it isn’t associated as a scary place for her. Assembly was easy, there are four half poles located on all four corners at the top side of the 24” length… line up the poles on each side, pull up in the center, and slide the locking bar in place, then repeat on the other side. I had the whole thing together and the cat inside within 5 minutes. I also bought her a more plushy pad that was the perfect dimensions to fit. It is a big carrier, and takes up a lot of room in the car, but she’s comfortable and doesn’t cry constantly now, so I don’t care how big it is, we just make it work! I also cover her carrier with a fabric water resistant shower curtain, so it’s lightweight to get airflow, easy to clean, and helps her feel more secure. All of these changes has made a huge difference in our traveling! The only thing I would change are the clips. Some are a more flimsy metal, and some are plastic. I would use a more sturdy metal clamp for the carry strap, I will probably replace these. But overall, I wouldn’t really remove a star or knock off points for that, this carrier has too many wins for me. If you have an animal that doesn’t travel well, or needs more space, this carrier is everything you want!

We bought this for our incredibly anxious 17lb long-haired male cat. He needs regular sanitary shaves, and getting him to the vet and/or groomer was a nightmare which resulted in many last-minute cancellations for about 7 months. During this time, we tried a half dozen other carriers of various styles and sizes and our poor anxious boy would pretty much panic every time we tried to put him in it, hissing, fighting, biting, peeing and scratching the entire time.
Finally, we found this carrier and decided to try it based on the size. When it came in, we were very impressed at the construction and build. It was quick and easy to assemble and once put together is incredibly sturdy. We left it out in our living room with all three doors open for our four cats to get used to it. It was only a week or two before our anxious big man was lying inside just enjoying having a box he could sit in and quickly escape from through any of the three openings (top, bottom, and left side). Additionally, our two young kittens regularly use it as a jungle gym and playpen, jumping in, on and running through it while playing chase and it’s shown no signs of wear in the past 6 months. The 8-lb kittens also like to curl up inside it together, and still have plenty of room with both of them in it.
Since then, we’ve gotten the big boy to the vet and groomer twice with success. The vets, groomers and vet techs comment each time they see it on how large, comfortable and sturdy it is compared to most carriers they see regularly. Thanks to the three separate openings, our vet was able to do his entire annual exam, with the small exception of weighing him, while he sat in the carrier feeling safe and secure. It’s been such a tremendous help in getting our boy proper vet and grooming care and I would highly recommend this carrier to anyone with a big, beefy cat, especially if they get anxious about travelling.
He’s still not crazy about travelling, but this carrier gives him enough room to comfortably lay down, stand up, and turn around while also allowing him to see out all sides and feel safe. We were worried that after the first vet trip, he’d develop some sort of negative association with it, but both times that he’s gotten home from a trip, he’s voluntarily gone back inside within an hour because he still seems to consider it a safe space. It was only $115 CAD when we originally bought it, and I feel like it was an absolute steal at that price. If I ever see it drop below $150 again, I’ll likely scoop up a second because I suspect it will outlast all of our current cats.

My big ginger boy furbaby has plenty of room in this. I think he weighs around 18-20 lbs usually, so he’s a big guy. It’s a great carrier overall. Many entry points depending on how you like getting your kitty into their carrier.
I only gave it 4 stars for sturdiness as ginger-baby managed to claw around the outer material near one of the side poles, exposing them and creating a potential for a larger (escape) hole to form if one worked at it. I stored it in the basement so he can’t cause any more damage to it. 🙂
Overall sturdy carrier though. Taken it on public transportation many times with no problem. That it has a long crossbody kind of handle provides great extra carrying options. Good carrier, I’d buy it again.
