I rarely do this, but I’m changing my review to 5 stars. After I posted my original review, the company contacted me and completely stood behind their product, which we really appreciate. I think the battery in my original fountain was just a dud. They sent me a free replacement, and it’s working great!Not only that, but our cat seems very happy to have this fountain back! He’s picky about fountains and some of the other kinds he won’t use at all. But he used this one immediately when I got it set up.This is my favorite pet fountain we’ve ever had, and I’ve been using them for my cats for over 15 years. Since it’s wireless, it’s SO convenient. You can put it almost anywhere and just pick it up to clean or move it without struggling with cords. Charging it is really easy.Also, it’s quiet and the motion sensor works great.==============ORIGINAL REVIEW: Stopped working 5 weeks after it arrived.This fountain stopped working 1 week after the return window expired. The battery appeared to need charging, so I charged it according to the instructions just as I had done before. But when I placed it back in the fountain it simply wouldn’t come on anymore. Now it’s useless to my kitty. What a total waste of money.

UPDATE:I kept my old review at the bottom so others can see what the problem was, but I wanted to update it. After that original review, I was contacted by the seller who asked me to describe the problem and walked me through troubleshooting it. With her assistance, it was determined that the battery was fine, but the pump was malfunctioning. She then offered to send me a replacement pump, which I accepted. It took a little while to get the replacement, but the fountain is now working perfectly well. They also sent me a complimentary 6 pack of filters.Now.. what I like about this fountain: it’s very quiet, holds a large volume and is easy to clean. Also, the transparent reservoir allows for easy monitoring of water levels and cleanness.My 2 cats were at first scared by the motion sensor activation, but they got used to it. If your cats get scared, don’t give up, they will likely come around. Mine are healthy, so I just removed other sources of water for a day and they decided to give the fountain a try. Note: please don’t try this method if you are not 100% sure that becoming slightly dehydrated isn’t dangerous of your cat. And absolutely do not do it if your cat has kidney disease. It worked like a charm for mine, but I’d recommend asking your vet before doing the trial.At this time I can’t testify to the durability of the fountain, but I will update some months down the road.–Old review here—I really wanted to like this fountain. And I did for 3 weeks. Then it stopped working. The battery says itâs charged, but the pump doesnât work at all. And there is no product support, so all Iâm left with a bucket and useless parts. ð¤¬

Nearly perfect
I like almost everything about this, with one exception. Here is what I like…* It can operate on battery or plugged in* Super easy to setup and get going* Easy to change the water* Very quietThe one thing that annoys me (and my cat!)…* When the fountain see motion it starts pumping water. But it stops 21 seconds later, even if motion continues. After 5 seconds with the pump off, it will start again if it still sees motion. Here is what that means. My cat walks toward the fountain and it starts pumping. He reaches it starts to drink. After a few seconds the pump stops (21 seconds). My cat starts to walk away because the pump stopped. Then the pump starts again. My cat goes back. This continues. Water pump on, water pump off! It would be better if the pump just continued running as long as it senses motion.

It’s quiet, battery lasts about 2 weeks for having 3 cats and holds a decent amount of water. It’s easy to clean and change the filter. Battery is also easy to take out and put back in. Seems durable and well designed. Very happy with this!

I have had a few of these. This works the best so far! The stainless steel ones did not work as well. This one recharges quickly and lasts a long time! Motion sensor works well too. Helps battery Lady longer.

*edit**The customer service for this company is top notch. They reached out to me after my previous review, and tried walking me through several troubleshooting steps. Ultimately I needed a new unit and they were kind enough to send me one. Very patient, helpful and thorough. My previous pros remain the same; great capacity, love the stainless steel( no cat acne!!!). I’m still testing out the battery life but all appears to be working the way it should, and my cats are very happy drink fresh water. Great wireless fountain for the price.Has a great water capacity, good size but the pump died about 4 days after I got it. There is only two options, one for turning on every 15 minutes or so and one for auto-detect, and neither mode works now. I really enjoyed the auto detection because it was so quiet and didn’t startle my cats. Tried turning it off, turning it on, ensuring the battery was fully charged, checking for obstructions, etc. It’s a wireless/ cordless fountain which I wanted because the cord is such a hassle, and if the pump/ fountain worked it’d be perfect for the price point.
