Great as a gift for your favorite coffee drinker
Most of my co-workers buy coffee at Starbucks, bring it to work in the paper cup, and within an hour the coffee is too cold. That means my co-workers have to buy a new cup or heat the current cup in the microwave. For some of them, it accumulates into several cups filled with lukewarm or cold coffee. To a non coffee drinker who is not much of a neat freak, this is gross and unacceptable. Like leaving a bunch of half eaten pizza. Yuck.Never knew these type of thermos’s existed. It keeps the contents of the paper cup hot!!Other reviewers actually timed it with a thermometer to show how effective it is.If you buy a grande or venti (medium or large) coffee, it fits snugly in the thermos, no need to pour the coffee out of the paper cup.SOLUTION IF YOU ONLY DRINK SMALL COFFEES. My wife sometimes buys a small coffee, so she asked for an extra empty cup of medium size so that it fits in the thermos. She places the small cup in the medium cup, then the whole thing in the thermos. It fit. She kept the medium paper cup for future use.The best part is the coffee stays hotter about an hour or two longer, enough for the co-workers to finish their coffee. That means they throw away an EMPTY cup into the garbage. No mess, no wasted trips to the coffee shop or microwave. My co-workers are impressed and they do thank me for the practical, money-saving and time-saving gift. Also bought this for my wife for her car, in fact I bought her two.Have not tested this for cold drinks, but would think the frappuccinos, smoothies, milkshakes, and iced coffees will also taste much better and colder in this. The only negative is the cost can vary from an affordable $10, to a high point of $20. It’s tough to find it on the lower end of the spectrum, so you may have to pay more if you’re in a hurry to purchase.

Great product but dented on arrival – shipped in a paper envelope. May want to get retail.
Generally, these are great for situations where you don’t have an opportunity to wash a more traditional travel mug. They keep your drink hot (or cold)… and allow you to throw away the cup rather than having it sit in a hot car and get unpleasant.Unfortunately, the condition or delivery was not good. Either these were damaged from the start, or were damaged in shipping. Not to the extent that they are unusable, but disappointing.

4 star but would be 5 star if it fit all cup sizes
Good product as long as it fits your cup size. If your cup is to large or to small then this is a 4 star item. If your cup fits perfectly then this item is an easy 5 star item.Grande’ and Vente’ Starbuck’s cups fit perfectly. Unfortunately, not all coffee establishments use the same size cups as Starbucks. This item works with cold beverages as well, but again this is a hit or miss thing. I found that saving the starbuck’s outer paper heat ring will help make cups fit that are to small. However, if the cup is to large there is nothing you can do. Where I work they use coffee cups with built in liners to protect your hands from excessive heat. These cups do not fit perfectly but stick up an inch or so to high but it will still keep your hot beverage hot for much longer than if it was just a bare cup.The 12 oz beverage holder this company makes is fantastic and is a much better product because 12 oz cans are pretty standardized making it a 5 star product. This item however is only 4 stars due to so much variety in cup size from shop to shop/store to store, etc..Just an F.Y.I. the item on Amazon called “Thermos Nissan Paper Cup Insulator” that is less expensive is the same product. I know because I bought both this one and the less expensive ones. Same product but just different packaging. This product arrived in a box looking better than the other one, however it was just a minor color difference. The “Thermos Nissan Paper Cup Insulator” arrives with just a sticker on the outside of the product.

Wonderful
This paper cup insulator is AWESOME. Works absolutely perfectly for Starbucks Venti cups (perfect fit). It keeps my coffee warm for hours. I love to just sip my coffee and I usually buy my coffee at 8 am and even by noon it still is warm. If you like hot coffee it will easily stay scolding hot for at least 2 hours. It is easy to clean. Doesn’t work well for the foam cups some coffee shops use but I still use it for them (its a bit top heavy with those cups). If you are vaguely curious about it…just buy it…you’ll absolutely love it. I have bought 3 now (I like having backups in case I loose one). And it really would make a great gift for anyone who is a starbucks drinker.

Outstanding piece of equipment. The 16oz and 20oz paper cups from the coffee shop fit this perfectly. The coffee stays hot much, much longer.I don’t know why these are so hard to find, or why the company does not make them in higher volumes.Last time they became available, we purchased nine of them (2 for us and 7 as gifts).

Not just an insulator
I 1st purchased Thermos Nissan cups several years ago. They were only 14 oz. and had spill resistant lids. These insulators are identical in design and work great to hold hot and cold beverages for hours. If they had the lids they would be perfect.I have never used them to hold a separate cup.

these are great
I have more of these than I care to admit. I take the rubber top off and use them as tumblers: no sweating, stuff stays cold (and hot, but not so well as cold), great for keeping liquids warm at dinner (gravy, e.g., especially with a large Jif peanut butter lid, which just fits), can still use them as holders for cold and hot drink cups. You can put ice and water (equal portions), and as long as you don’t fill it up all the way, it will stay ice cold for 18 hours or more with an ambient temperature of 70. (if you fill it all the way up, you lose the air layer that helps insulate the ice water, and it warms more quickly). There are smaller versions, and the ones used for canned beverage insulators are great too.
