Cat matting gone! Not just a horse tool!
Our fat boy got too big for his britches and can no longer groom himself properly. As he’s a barn cat, it got a little out of control and he had dreds before we realized he couldn’t reach his back anymore and needed help. Bought this and even though we trained the barn kittens to tolerate it first, we finally got him to sit still long enough to figure out it felt good to be brushed and now he’s all gorgeous again. No more matted hair! Keep his shedding hair clear with a daily brush down he actually begs for, now that he knows it feels nice, and will sit still… kinda. One of the best pet tools we’ve ever bought! Dogs are now trained to let us use it on them too.

Great for shorter haired pets!
We have two cats (both DSH) and two dogs (one boxer mix, one lab mix). All four of them shed like crazy year-round. I bought this after seeing a groomer on YouTube use it in one of their videos, hoping it would cut down on some of the shedding.It works great for both cats and the boxer mix dog, who has short hair. It really gets that undercoat out…and a lot of it! Both cats love it, despite one of them hating being brushed before, but the dog only tolerates it. Their coats are looking even healthier, with less dead skin and a glossing sheen.The only downside is that it didn’t work particularly well for our lab mix, who has longer, thick hair.

The picture shows how much hair I got off my 8 1/2 yr old British Short-haired cat in about 15 minutes. I had to hold her by the scruff so I could brush her all over. She usually only allows me to brush her on her back and some on her sides with a slicker brush with an end result of a lot less fur removal. Yes, the fur lies around her tail and small puffs float in the air for a few seconds, but I would rather clean up the fur afterwards than use a slicker brush and have to work longer to get anywhere near the same amount of fur off. I was covered in fur when done but I used the Equigroomer to gently remove the fur from my clothes. It did a good job of that too.

Total game changer!
I have a greyhound who we thought had allergies or sensitive skin since he’d been a lot itchier recently. After using this brush, you’d think there was another dog next to him with the amount of hair that came off of him. Other brushes I’ve purchased hadn’t been able to remove the same amount of hair. I use this brush a couple of times a week and I’ve noticed a marked difference in the amount of shedding and so much less itching. This brush has been fantastic and I wish I’d found it sooner.

My Cats Love It
First brush I found that my cats liked. It makes their coat soooooo soft and smooth by the deshedding there undercoat. I got the natural wood one and itâs gorgeous and very good quality. I have two shorthaired cats and it works great so itâs not just for long haired cats either!

Really pulls out hair, w/o the cat or bunny minding
Itâs very effective. Iâm not sure how I can be brushing every day and still be getting piles of fur. Thought it would calm down a bit. The cat sits still for it, but grumbles about her back end. Loves it on her head and neck and under chin. Main body also fine, but sheâs less fond of it, compared to her head and neck bliss. As sheâs not cleaning her back end well, there are a few small mats near the top of her legs. This doesnât work well on those. The bunny also enjoys this brush. Better than the Kong brush. Heâs never appreciated that too much, unless heâs trying to nibble the spikes.

This works great for under coats or during shedding season. My dog has short fur, part heeler part pit terrier so he has a mix of course hair with softer undercoat. He loves this brush better than the furminator and actually leans into it while I comb him out. I think because its more of a scratching massage than a pulling sensation that you get with the furminator.
