WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO USING PAWFLEX BANDAGES FOR WOUND CARE?
PawFlex bandages create a clean environment for your dog’s wound to heal. Because they are water-resistant and breathable there will be no moisture build-up which can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Because there are no adhesives tugging at their fur and the fabric is soft like cotton your dog will be totally comfortable in PawFlex bandages and forget that they even have one on.

ARE PAWFLEX BANDAGES WATERPROOF?
PawFlex bandages are water resistant which means they will repel water unless fully submerged. You needn’t worry about bandage becoming waterlogged from licking or rain drops. Because they are not fully waterproof, they maintain good breathability at all times.

Always follow your veterinary prescription and/or advice.Always cleanse the wound area before applying medicine and PawFlex bandage.Always make sure you can comfortably place at least 1 finger between your dog leg and PawFlex bandage. You don’t want a bandage too tight or too loose.Try to change, cleanse and reapply medicine 3 times a day unless otherwise prescribed.If your pet licks or bites his bandage we recommend you use PawFlex Tubular Protector/cover over the PawFlex Basic or Universal Joint bandage. You may still need a cone if you do bites at the bandage.

Worked for me!
My large breed puppy somehow got multiple cuts/sores on his hind leg. After daily soaking of his leg in epsomâs salts, I could apply these and they stayed on well, and I was able to avoid using the cone of shame. A few nights he was able to rip these off but during the day he left them alone. I added some medical adhesive tape for night time or the self stick bandage on top of it and that seemed to work. Fortunately my puppy wasnât that interested in licking or bothering his wounds, but I could see that these might not work for some determined dogs but adding the self adhering bandage my solve that. I liked these because the sterile padding stayed in place better than a sterile pad alone under the bandage. Great that they also come in various widths.

must have for multiple dogs owners
I’m in love with these! I bought these because I have 3 cattle dogs and fights happen. Well 1 happens and both dogs needed stitches on their legs. These are wonderful as 1 dog can have time out of her cone as these bandages help protect. I’m hoping the medium ones come in soon so my other can enjoy cone freedom when she’s a little more healed.

Comes off easily if used on cat’s arm
I was very excited to find a product like this but it just didn’t work as well as I’d hoped for my cat. I purchased this to wrap around my cat’s arm to prevent him from licking at his tumor and making it bleed (sadly, his skin is getting thin and more sensitive as the tumor grows). The bandage did not last very long, he continued to try to groom himself and lick at the bandage which made it slide off pretty quickly. Before trying this I had been using a regular wrap bandage and that seemed to stay on better than this did. Maybe if this was used on a dog it would work okay, but for a cat be aware that if they try to groom themselves it will probably come off.

Velcro closure not up to the job
Was disappointed that a great idea has such a design flop with the Velcro closure design. It is suppose to adhere to the wrap body which results in easy disconnect. It does not have the normal two sided Velcro material that we are all use to. If I have to tape it for secure closure then I might as well just tape disposable pads on the leg. Returned product.

THEY WORK!
Easy to use. At first I was afraid of stretching & pulling the bandage too tight. But making it snug seemed to give my girlie relief. She has hot spots she picks at on front legs. These keep her away from chewing her hot spots & also worked to help heal by keeping healing ointment on sore & protected.

This did not work for my dog. bandages was designed more for upper part of the dogs leg. I needed the get a bandage closer to the paw..
