    Dog loves it
My dog loves this thing. I put the Rachel Ray Nutrish bones in here and he goes to town. You can push the whole bone in. He knows how to bite it to break the bone up and then tilt it to drop the pieces out. It keeps him busy for about 20 minutes. But…now that he’s almost a professional at it, he is getting it out in less time. It is sturdy, rubbery material which is easy on his teeth and gums. I just maneuver the bone between the inner teeth of it, put it on a sturdy surface, like the counter top, and push the bone in. He loves it. Would recommend.

    Great for inserting greenie
We insert a petite size greenie into these (get it wet first to slide it in), and then give to the dog. It makes the greenie last lots longer, and gives him some good play/puzzle time trying to get it out. He knows when it’s time for him to have it, and asks EVERY SINGLE DAY for it!Unfortunately, since he has great bite strength with strong pointy teeth, and chews on these mercilessly to get the greenie out, these don’t last forever. That said, we feel they last long enough to be worth it before they fall apart. One note: our dog does chew off some pieces of this toy as he works on it, but he just spits them out. But you should probably monitor your dog at first to make sure they’re not eating any bits they might get off it.

    Lasts a good long time
I have a large (90 pound) dog that is a very aggressive chewer. I have found no toys that she won’t destroy, so it’s really just a question of how long it will survive. I’ve attached a couple of pictures to show what she can do to hard rubber toys. This particular toy is the record holder for duration. Yes, eventually even this one will succumb, but it takes weeks or months instead of hours. I put two milk-bone maro treats in the end and a third of a pupperoni in the middle and it takes here 30 minutes or more to get it out. She loves it and it occupies her for a good long time — longer than any other toy I’ve tried. It’s pricey, but cheaper than bully sticks or rawhide treats that don’t last very long at all.

Tough chewers beware, No Bully sticks.
The Westpaw Qwizl Large puzzle toy quickly became one of his favorites. We also have the Westpaw Hurley bone which he isn’t very interested in. We stared out with easy things home made chicken jerky strips 3 to 4 inches, dental chews, and carrots. These simple treats lasted about 5 to10 minutes with no damage to the toy. The carrot he didn’t like and got stuck in the toy. It is a rather tough toy and most importantly safe on teeth. I like that after a play in the yard it can be put in the dishwasher. However like all dog toys I put in the dishwasher washer, I give it a thorough rinse to make sure there is no soap residue left on the soft surface or inside the toy. After a few days he figured out how the toy works we upped the game with a 9 inch bully stick. Typically this voracious chewer will devour a bully stick in under 10 minutes. The bully stick lasted 1 hour under supervision, with only one intervention at about 45 minutes to push the stick out alittle. The thickness of the stick a little over 1/2″ did make it rather difficult to get out of the toy. I had the same problem with a whole carrot having to cut it and break it up through the hole in the middle with a spoon, because I couldn’t get it out. The dog didn’t really want the carrot however and was happy to just lick at it and toss the toy around with the carrot inside. He did well for the most part with the bully stick. Chewing off the exposed ends then pulling from one end and chewing then pulling again. Once the treat got a little stuck he did do slight damage to the toys end.I would not recommend this as a bully stick holder unless you have a moderate or light chewer. I trimmed the loose pieces off the toy with scissors but he still wants to pick at them. I will get another one or see if Westpaw will allow an exchange/replacement. How ever will not be using it for Bully or Pizzle sticks again.Dog is Fixed Male rescue around 65lbs of unknown breed (We think Catahoula heeler mix, Australian Cattle Dog Catahoula mix, vet said Dutch Shepard heeler mix) roughly 1 1/2 years old.For your light to moderate chewer a slim (under 1/2 inch) 7 to 9 inch long bully stick works well for the toy. 6 inch was to short to hang out both ends but would work. The longevity and durability of the toy will depend on the dog. For tough food motivated chewers better than average toys but far less than kong extreme for comparison. For Moderate Chewers possibly a year or 2. For light Chewers maybe a lifetime.

    Great for treats!
I’ve only had this for a couple days but my dog loves it! The holes at each end have little ridges inside, which makes it perfect to hold treats in and makes it harder for my dog to get them out. The rubber material seems really strong, my dogs a strong chewer so I’m hoping it’ll last for a bit.

    virtually indestructible
I have a 9 mo rat terrier who eats and destroys EVERY TOY WE BUY HIM. We have to order the Extreme Kong toys in a size larger because he shreds the ones made for a dog his size. No toy is safe. The Quizl doesn’t have a dent. And it’s not hard on his teeth! My nail can make a dent. It keeps him busy for hours. The trick is finding treats that will get through the ends into the center of the Quizl without breaking or crumbling. I recommend buying the West Paw Pork “Just 6 Things” or the Wellness crunchy treats to go inside it. Then stick a few of the Wellness soft salmon treats in the little slots in the end. Magic. I love this puppy with my whole heart, but I may die of exhaustion trying to keep him busy… the Quizl is a sanity-saver.

My dog can’t have soft toys because he ingests them or hard toys because he breaks his teeth. West Paw toys are perfect. Extremely durable and he likes them a lot. This toy is perfectly designed as a puzzle toy. I twist it to open up the openings on the side, put in a few liver treats, and he is entertained for quite a while. 10/10

Keeps my Lurcher happy for ages and was well worth the cost, have used over 10 separate occasions for around an hour at a time and he has yet to damage any part of it.Is also easy to fill and clean although I have not used wet ingredients in it.Would recommend to anyone with a large dog that loves to chew.

Perfekt!Vorteile:- robust- bietet richtig genutzt lange BeschäftigungNachteile:- schwer, richtig zu füllen- umgefüllt uninteressant für den Hund.- hoher Preis// English //The Westpaw Qwizl is notorious for being super sturdy and has also proven this quality against the teeth of my dog, no need to further elaborate on that. What most dog owners forget, however, is that it’s super hard to fill. Thin treats can be gotten out by the dog in a matter of seconds. Thicker treats that are stuck will frustrate the dog until it gives up. I am happy to announce that after months of trying out the Qwizl, i finally found THE solution: thin treats, but frozen in place with wet dog food or peanut butter. Result: a dog that is busy for a long time, but without frustration. A happy dog. And a happy owner.
