I buy most of my fruit and veggies at Costco – therefore due to the quantity, before I began using these Produce Saver Bags my produce would typically spoil before my husband and I could it eat. I have successfully used these bags to store lettuce, asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, celery, strawberries and blueberries. Depending on produce, these bags have helped extend the freshness for 7 to 14 additional days past their normal shelf life. A real money saver!The trick to having success with these bags is to follow the manufacturer’s instructions:1. Use a new bag for each food item. Bags will absorb and transfer food odor.2. Dry food thoroughly before putting it into bag. Moisture build up in bag can be wiped off.3. DON’T use twist ties to close bag. Simply fold over to close.4. For best results store food where every you would normally store your produce.5. Prior to reuse, rinse and allow bag to dry.

Really great product!
I’ve been using these bags for quite awhile now. They really work. I use to throw away a lot of produce that went bad on me. NOT with these bags. I’ll have strawberries for a month and they are still perfect when I go to eat them. Same with blueberries. Especially with lettuce. I can have lettuce for a month with no spoilage at all. Try them…you won’t be disappointed! I especially like the different sizes.

Want fruit and veggies to last longer?
Tired of watching your fruit and veggies go bad after only a few days???????I started using these years ago and can only find this brand on Amazon. I refuse to NOT EVER use green bags or in this case yellow bags again. There are two sizes. As soon as I bring fruit or produce home I take it out of the cartons or wrapping they come in and put them into these bags right away. I store it the same way, I just use the Saver bags instead. {refrigerator items only}If I’m getting ready for a party it used to be I had to do the fruit and veggies at last minute, not any more. Can pre-prepare everything…….bags can be re-used also, just simply rinse them well and let them dry. Can do this about 10 to 15 times.I tried storing bananas on the counter with these bags one time but they actually ripened faster. A plain brown lunch bag works better and helps with the crazy fruit bugs also. Just FYI.
