Good quality oatmeal or so I thought
The oatmeal is good BUT it still contains the pesticide. The same that most gluten products do in the US. It’s the famous glyphosate. I always thought I had reactions to gluten, and had SEVERE issues with thyroid after eating anything containing gluten. So I purchased this Oatmeal thinking the gluten was an issue – yet I had the same reaction I had with gluten containing foods. And as I later found out it was the glyphosate! How I found it was the reason? I went oversees to Turkey and had absolutely no issues with any pasta or oatmeal there! That was a SHOCK! Back to US, and same health issues from any of these local products, including Italian.Plus here’s something interesting below:Quaker Old Fashioned Oats were found to have the most glyphosate per sample, with more than 1,000 ppb in two of three samples tested. So those of you who are not true celiacs but have reactions to what you think is gluten, be aware it’s the evil glyphosate, NOT gluten!

Zip bags are wonderful and essential!
Great quality oats and the zip bags keep everything dry and fresh. Would recommend if you go through a lot a oats or need for muli locations. I keep some at home and some at Grandmas for my kiddo.

Picky Eaters.
I like the variety. I’m generally not an oatmeal eater, however I enjoy these flavors and the kiddos likes them as well. Although the bags aren’t as full as they used to be … But what can ya do?.
For You For Me –
Gluten Free For ME
I was unable to find Gluten Free Oatmeal in my local stores that was plain. Most stores carried flavored Gluten Free Oatmeal. This is an excellent Oatmeal! Here is my helpful hints:I use one measure cup of oats -to- two measure cups of water.I cook two servings at a time. (2-to-4)For my usual two servings of old fashioned style oatmeal, I use 2 measure cups (1/3 C) oats and add only 3 measure cups of water during the actual cooking process.I cook it in the microwave for one minute.Stop.I cook it for another minute.Stop.I cook it for the last of the 3 minutes.I take it out and add the last 1 measure cup of water.I stir the last cup of water into the very flat oatmeal, it will be sorta chunky.I add cinnamon and brown sugar.I Love it!I cook it one minute at a time because other wise it boils over and makes a big mess of my microwave. My son suggested I set the microwave settings to do the starts and stops for me.I have yet to do that!I use a regular soup size bowl.I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!Gluten free oatmeal is better for my celiac disease than regular oatmeal.Thank you Quaker Oats!
