I was skeptical whether this obelisk would be true obsidian, despite other reviews confirming that it wasâbut once received, it was easy to tell that it really was natural obsidian! If examined closely, the natural microscopic imperfections show conchoidal fracturingâthe dead giveaway for obsidian.This obelisk is beautiful, and I love the natural uniqueness of the one I received. Iâm quite transfixed by it. I would absolutely purchase from this store again, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for high quality obelisks.

It’s not Clear and it’s NOT Quartz — This is Calcite.
I ordered this sort of knowing I was taking a gamble; I’m typically not one to buy crystals on amazon because who knows where they’re coming from or what they’ve been through. Ethics are a big deal when it comes to crystals.BUT. I wanted one for a display and the timeline on delivery met my needs.Upon arrival, I unpacked the pretty box to find what I initially took for a milky quartz crystal, adorned with a red polyester bow… not unlike the kind found on a pair of underwear. Once out of the box, however, I immediately noticed that this is not quartz at all. As you’ll see in the photos, there are long vertical lines with spurs growing off of them, and small rainbow flecks throughout — a clear indication that this has a high calcite content. But I know that calcite can be found in a lot of different crystals since I actually have several raw calcite pieces in my collection, so I kept an open mind and decided to test the piece against a piece of clear quartz that I mined myself (pictured).Clear quartz is incredibly hard (7 on the Mohs scale), while calcite is pretty delicate (3-4.5, depending on its purity). I used the clear quartz and gently scratched the bottom of the “clear quartz crystal point” and it left significant scratches as well as slipped 2 small chunks out of the point. My small, raw clear quartz piece was completely unfazed.Obviously, I will keep this piece now that my quartz has officially hazed our new calcite friend. However, if it is your goal to acquire a piece of clear quartz (emphasis on the “CLEAR” and ultra emphasis on the “QUARTZ”) then please gamble with another seller… better yet, find an authentic piece for an even lower cost from an ethical seller on Etsy or something.Throwing away $20 to be sent a mineral that I didn’t ask for is disappointing, tbh. And reading all the reviews from people, who clearly have also been sent calcite, raving about the energy from it (not knowing that calcite has a significantly higher frequency than quartz, and can actually cause overstimulation and exhaustion if not used correctly) is pretty upsetting. Pretty bad karma for the seller.The seller should really change the description on these and stop misleading people.

Small and extremely pointy. Poor quality polish and chipped in some areas. Also has a slanted hexagonal shape. Wouldnât recommend at all. Iâm not being picky the finish is bad.

Other than a few tiny little flecks of blue itâs basically dark grey to black. Nothing like what the advertisement says itâs gonna look like. It is a nice size. Too bad it looks so awful. Donât waste your money unless you want a grey- black crystal.

I Was excited to receive my Labradorite but was very disappointed with the product .. barely any flash and was not 4â long was only 3.5â for the price paid was expecting more flash no where near like pictures shown and the packaging is not very giftable Will have to transfer to an different box⦠will not buy from this company again
