Perfect for at home use
Overall the product works well and is easy to use. Surprisingly my kids didnât mind me looking at their ears. Usually they freak out at the doctor so I was happy that they didnât with me. I have two very ear infection prone kids under 5 so happy to have this product.

Perfect for looking in dog’s ears
I bought this to check my dog’s ears for infection as he is nervous at the vet’s office. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised how well it works! It is just what I needed, and I can now confirm my dog’s ear infection has cleared up!

Misleading description for the LCD screen version
I have purchased two versions of these otoscopes but I am leaving a review for the black one showing as the color ” Aterrimus” that advertises an LCD screen.I found this highly misleading as it is twice as expensive as the other options and has a rectangular viewing area so it seems from the description that you see a picture through an LCD screen from a camera or something. But that is not the case at all. The “LCD screen” that is advertised is a tiny screen on the side of the handle that only shows battery level and light intensity. The screen is not even backlit so is almost useless. The viewing area is just a pass-through like the cheaper options and the rectangular shape serves no purpose since you view through circular tips.The only thing that this particular model has as a useful feature over the cheaper ones, in my opinion, is that you can change the brightness of the light through five levels. There is also some technical mumbo jumbo about higher quality of a different type of light but I did not see a practical difference.I returned this one and ordered one of the other models that are half the price and I am perfectly happy with the cheaper options that are what they say they are.
