Great for accelerating wound healing
I have been using calcium alginate dressings for years with patients treating their wounds. I recently got a 2nd degree burn on my hand that was about 5 cm long by 2 cm wide. It would bleed a lot. I initially covered it with antibiotic ls and gauze but it wasn’t getting better. I ordered this to apply to the wound. It’s absorbent so no more leakage.It’s derived from seaweed. The extra protein and nutrients help speed up wound healing. More accurately stated, it allows your skin to reach its maximum potential for healing by nourishing the wound. It will be faster than just using gauze or Band-Aids. It will stick to the scab, so you can drop a little sterile saline on it to soften up before removing it. I just pulled it off and it bled a little, then rebandaged the wound. The wound size decreased quickly.

Works like a charm for healing wound under an ostomy
This works like a charm for wounds that need help healing under something like an ostomy bag. Cover it with a small piece of this and some Hydrocollid wound covering, and you can place the bag like normal. No issue getting my typical 3-4 days out of it

Using daily soft and absorbent.
I use these daily for couple dehisence wounds. Iâd like to think itâs helping with the rest of healing creams and ointments Iâm using as Iâm actually getting better since I started the regimen. I like that the pad is soft and individually wrapped. I normally cut them to size I need and they work and absorb well. I do put large bandaid over the top to help with ointment and fluids not coming through the pad and on my clothes.

this wound dressing will heal you quicker…
my wound care team had me buy several items to keep on hand, this was something i saw. upon my visit they asked where i got it and how much i paid…told them they were amazed…they said the silver is what does the job in healing, and the price i paid was far less than what some of thier other patients have beengetting…so we passed the word on…and they will be supplying some to other patients.

My first experience with algenate. Worked really great when I skinned my palm falling off my bike. It was a tough spot to keep wrapped and everything I tried stick like crazy to the wound. This stuff worked as advertised…formed that goo layer and kept the wound sealed and moist.

Not gel like, dry non stick fabric like
Im giving this 3 stars because its not what I thought after reading the info in their photos, but its 5 stars for the right purpose so dont avoid buying if you need it. Bought these thinking it was a colloidal bandage bc it is literally described as gel-like in the photos. But its not at all, its a totally dry non-stick gauze. Which is supposed to last 7 days, but mine only lasted 1 day bc I got it sweaty with yardwork everytime.. and no it didnt stick to my road rash like regular gauze which became one with my leg and hurt to peel off, but it did pull off some of the gooey newly forming scabs while absorbing my wound ooze. So its not bad, Id use this again for smaller wounds, but not for huge road rash. I went ahead and bought the colloidal patches instead for myself because half my lower leg is totally missing skin and I need to keep it covered to heal from the inside out – a scab will just crack and bleed and form a terrible scar if I dont get this to heal (I flew over the handlebars on my bike) So no I wouldnt buy this again for this type of injury but I will use them for different wounds in the future, and they are also easy to cut in smaller patches so thats useful.
