great
I have been buying these for about 2-3 years now. very happy with them. they don’t block 100% of sounds, but no earplugs do. i live with a few other people, & I don’t hear doors opening & closing or toilet flushing (bathroom is right next to my room) I get uninterrupted sleep with these. they last quite a long time too. highly recommend. A trick I leaned to get really snug fit-twist them a little before inserting…that way they expand better in ear canal, & also easier to put in ear

Same earplugs as “3M tekk”
I’m still testing these to see how comfortable they are for me, but just wanted to alert users that these earplugs are entirely identical (other than color) to the 3M tekk earplugs: (http://www.amazon.com/3M-Protection-Disposable-Earplugs-7-Pack/dp/B008U7IC6E)In 2008, Aearo, the maker of these Peltor Blasts, was acquired by 3M and it appears that the same Indianapolis facility produces both packages. In fact, if you read the inserts to both products, they use the same attenuation chart and mention the same US patent number on both. So really they only differ by color (these are yellow and the tekks are orange) and you’re probably safe picking whichever one has the better price.I also got some Howard Leight ear plugs to compare these against. After I get some more time with extended wear of both types, I’ll update this with my observations about fit and performance.

Different product being shipped. Peltor Blasts, with different container than that shown for the AEARO product
This is probably an inventory glitch but the package as pictured on the Amazon site (AEARO EAR AO SAFETY EAR BLASTS DISPOSABLE EAR PLUGS) had a long thin container – and was the reason I made this $2.99 purchase since I needed something convenient within which to carry my “Hearos” ear plugs. What I received instead, and what is pictured on my “orders” screen is the “Peltor Blasts” product which, has a significantly larger round container. It’s not worth returning, I’ll just pick up something local instead. But I thought I would warn others if anybody else is going after the nicer form-factor container. It’s pretty rare to see this kind of glitch on Amazon. When I click on the dark black and green Peltor image on my order page I continue to be taken to the light AEARO product and image.
