Desk Had Great Potential (Update/Edit)
I like Ashley Signature Products and have bought quite a few items from them over the years. Liked the finish and color of the desk. The only issue I had was that there are left legs and right legs for assembly and this unit shipped with 3 left legs and only one right leg, rendering the desk impossible to assemble. I have contacted Ashely and am hopefully getting correct legs sent out. I will update when I receive those parts. Also, packaging could be better. One corner of the box was torn and a large screw was hanging out. Apparently, rough handling broke the fastener package allowing screws to bang around the box damaging the finish in several places. Luckily, I had a Min-wax touch-up pen that fixed most spots acceptably (Shouldn’t have had to though). Other spots are hidden on the back side of the product.Update: Ashley Furniture Service is on the ball. I went online on a Monday to get my desk leg issue resolved. Never talked to a real person, just looked up my desk, picked missing components, went through a “check-out” process (no cost to me) and a new complete set of 4 correct legs arrived at my door by Thursday. No hesitation, no lame troubleshooting, no questions asked. They just delivered. Hats off for the fine response. Upping my review to 5 stars, even though I did have to touch up a few spots scratched in shipping. Will definitely buy from Ashley again.

Sizable surface great for crafting and shooting videos
I love, love, love this desk. It looks good in my space. I mainly bought it for shooting videos and its rim design allows me to attach mounts for my camera. Itâs relatively easy to assemble but you wonât have to do so from scratch. The desk and draws already come assembled. All you have to do is attach the legs and supports.

Assembly was a Challenge
Love the size, style, and look of this desk. Assembly was a challenge because the screws in the first step didnât really want to take hold. You realize later those first screws are not actually very functional for holding it all together, they were just temporary to hold the pieces in place while you added more in. But it was frustrating not knowing how that was going to work. At the very end one of the last pieces had a whole bored in the wrong side. Turns out they provided two of one piece rather than one for the right and one for the left. We were able to make a new hole and get it to work in the end. The only thing that might be an issue for people besides assembly is that the surface of the desk is not smooth and you cannot lay paper on it and write. You must have a blotter or tablet or something solid underneath the paper if you plan to do writing or drawing on this desk.

Poor quality, wrong color, terrible assembly experience
The desk is not distressed white – it is a distressed light gray. In addition to the distressed marks you would expect, it contained yellow marks that could be someoneâs fingerprints or drops of something- that is not distressed but dirty! Also, this is the most frustrating assembly experience I have ever had, and I have been assembling furniture for over30 years. Whoever wrote the assembly instructions should be fired. Actually there was no text, just pictures full of mistakes. The pictures in the manual did not correspond to the correct parts. I spent over an hour before I realized the problem was not my understanding, but multiple mistakes in the manual. I finally just used my prior experience and common sense, without the manual, and then everything worked. However some of the screws provided were of poor quality and didnât hold the parts together in a sturdy way. Also one of the holes was not cut properly which created a problem. Overall I would not recommend this product. It is just unfortunate that the packaging is so large and heavy that I could not return it.

Very nice desk!
My only complaint is that they donât make a matching lateral 2 drawer filing cabinet and the tall shelf has an open bottom with no door. They sell a printer stand, but this collection needs storage.

Honest Review, Read This
First order arrived damaged on the top of the desk and while assembling it by screwing in a bolt to attach a leg, the inner bolt housing tore out and it was not fixable (see first image of bolt). Had to return. Second order arrived damaged (see second image of corner of desk). Also, two pieces of rectangular wood that attach to the underside of the drawers fell off (see last two images). The desk itself is great, the quality control could use some help.

Definitely isnât white wash. Itâs grey. Box came damaged and bottom of desk damaged but that was most likely due to purolator. Also instruction are not correct. You use B & C on each leg, not B & B as instructions state. The instructions could be a bit more helpful instead of labelling things the way they did so it made assembly a bit harder. Desk is really heavy so itâs probably more of a two person job but I did it by myself and now Iâm sore after lifting it. also, couldnât get the dowels to completely fit in one so it made the screw not fully dig in as well but all in all Iâm not sure how I feel about the desk yet. Itâs pretty deep itâs 26 inches deep. Iâm not sure if itâs taller than an average size desk but I was going for more white wash look and itâs more grey than white wash, also the top is not flat whatsoever. You would need to get a clear 1.5 to 2 mm protector mat to go over top of it. Oh no itâs a good desk but I give three stars for it being so deceiving. Iâm glad I bought off Amazon though instead of from Ashley furniture because it was much more expensive from Ashley furniture. Thatâs why I bought it off Amazon.
