Texas Hill Country Olive Company is family-owned, and located in the beautiful and beloved “Texas Hill Country” of Dripping Springs, Texas. Our olive orchard is located on 17 acres of picturesque land, and is an organic orchard. Since day one the focus has been on preserving the natural beauty of the area while providing fresh locally produced extra virgin olive oil and other premium quality products. Why Dripping Springs? It has the perfect land conditions for growing olives, and also shares similarities to Italian landscapes- a reminder of our heritage. It was a bit of a homage to our motherland that we chose to plant where we did. The trees are planted on a slope in rocky limestone soil – the limestone keeps the soil more alkaline, the slope of the land and the rocks in the soil help with water drainage. There is always a nice breeze in the orchard which helps the pollinator trees (Pendolino variety) to pollinate the varieties that need pollinating. It was an entire family effort, and something we are all proud of! We hope you enjoy our olive oils and gourmet food, and that you have a chance to visit us in Texas so that we can share more of our story with you.

This stuff is wonderful. I went through my first bottle faster than I would have thought, and immediately reordered. It makes amazing vinegarettes, dipping oil for crusty bread, or adding zing to a beverage. Fantastic balsamic!!!

The Best Flavored Vinegar
This is our favorite vinegar. It is tangy and rich, thick and sweet. We put it on everything, mainly salads because we use vinegar and oil for salad dressing. Since the $7 price hike, we haven’t been able to purchase it as often. It has become a luxury item that we buy once in a while. From what I’ve read of the aging process, it is an expensive item to make so I don’t begrudge them the cost, but my wallet cries.

No Pizzazz and No Flavor BUT Wait!!!!!
PREVIOUS REVIEW: I would not recommend this product at all. There is no Pizzazz and no flavor. I was super excited because this is a Texas-born company. I ordered the Pineapple Balsamic Vinegar, and it was underwhelmingâlittle to no pineapple flavor and no earthy tones either. I paid over $20 for this product and it was not worth it at all.UPDATE STANCE: Texas Hill Country Olive Company has reached out to me with warm hearts and tried the rectify this situation. They really put in the effort to make sure that I tried another one of their quality products and take my feedback to heart and mind. I elaborated on why I gave them 1 Star, but I have to change it to 4 Stars because the customer service was outstanding, and the rectification of the situation is truly indicative of Southern Hospitality. I’m giving them a try, and I hope you all try their products as well. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
