Updated: Inner lining too small or uncomfortable
see update belowThe good: zipped pocket that doesn’t let phone bounce around when running.The are good length and comfortable when not runningThree pairs includedThe bad:Inner lining is either too small or plain uncomfortable when running. Wore them without an underwear and my money maker is so sore from rubbing the inner linerI cut out the inner liners and they are much better that way.Update:Supplier reached out to me and stated they will look into increasing the inner liner size plus issued a refund.

Great value!
Letâs be real. These are cheap shorts, but they arenât cheap shorts. There are better quality products out there but for the value you get out of these. Theyâll work. Lightweight. Stretchy, and yes, theyâre short. They work for everyday wear and working out.My biggest negative on these shorts are that the logo does tend to chip away, and that the zippers on the pockets have fallen off after months of use.

Awesome Affordable Shorts
I am not used to wearing workout shorts with ânetsâ, but my overall experience for the price of these shorts have been great! I love the length, zipper pockets, colors, and they are wrinkle resistant. Definitely a great buy, since I wear them weekly for workout out.

Fit is fine, quality is iffy
The fit is true to size, and theyâre mostly comfortable while running.Iâm already having issues with the zippers on the pockets not closing. In addition to the liner and shorts material feeling thin/cheap, Iâm not sure Iâd buy these again unless there arenât great alternatives.EDIT: the seller followed up and offered a full refund. This refund was NOT contingent on my changing my 2-star review, but I am doing so anyway because I appreciate that customer service. The shorts are still comfortable to run in.

1. Mesh innersLet me start by saying that I normally despise mesh inners and yes one reviewer, american running short do have mesh inners and no itâs not a language barrier. The nikes and adidas mesh are very uncomfortable while these seem to be perfectly comfortable.2. InseamsThe shorts despite the 5â inseam have a big rise before the inseam, so they fit more like 7â shorts.3. Pockets and your phoneThe two zipped pockets are huge and itâs not practical to run with your phone i. It. However, a sewing needle and some thread will easily fix that. There are two pockets so modifying one should be no big deal.4. Look and feelThese shorts have a premium look to it unlike the very famous baleaf and actually wearable.I got the 3 pack with off white, black and olive and theyâre amazing colors.5. ValueAmazing. You wonât get good running shorts at this price.6. Other concerns – chafingThe slit cut provides great mobility but at the cost of the shorts rising with possibility of chafing if the shorts are misaligned with respect to your body. I recommend wearing any non-cotton boxers to prevent that. It wonât interfere with the mesh inners.

Good shorts, with a catch
2022-04-04 UpdateRaising to 4 (from 3) stars. After a few outings the chafing issues went away. That or I’m getting tougher…nah, it’s probably the shorts. Can consistently run 5-7 miles without issue now. If you’re buying these be ready for a (likely celibate) “break in” period of 2-3 runs for each pair.Of the 3 pairs 1 zipper out of 6 total has failed. Disappointing but not worth a star given the price. Maybe I needed to be more gentle with them. Something to watch out for.Customer feedback: sew a small, zippered pocket in the back of the shorts for e.g. credit cards. This would be great value, even if it means removing one side pocket zipper or increasing price a bit.Original ReviewTL/DR: If/when the manufacturer addresses the liner issue (see below) these will be winners (5 stars). Until then, look elsewhere if you actually want to run more than a mile or two in these shorts.If you are buying these shorts for walking, working out, or to look like you run go for it. However, these are NOT good shorts to run in. They suffer from 2 flaws, one major and one minor.We’ll start with 5 stars.-2 stars for the major issue of an unsuitable liner. It is like a bathing suit liner with thin rope-like threads and large gaps/holes. For me, this surface becomes ABRASIVE after 3-4 miles. As a result, these shorts are NOT SUITABE FOR RUNNING. On the plus side, this seems like an easy fix and I hope the manufacturer corrects it. They will have a winning product if they do and I will happily revise this review (and buy more).-1 star for the minor issue of the plastic around the zippers constantly getting in the zippers and jamming them up. The fix here would seem to be another row of stitching in the affected areas to keep the loose plastic in line. However, this is minor and these could be still 5-star shorts without fixing this because…+1 star for being crazy affordable. With a pair of Nike running shorts at $20 on a good day these are super inexpensive. Props to the manufacturers for the price point!Summary: If/when the manufacturers can address the liner issue these will be winners. Until then, look elsewhere if you actually want to run anything over a few miles in these shorts.
