Apple showed off Workout Buddy, a new AI-driven assistant that will chime in with encouragement and updates as you begin and complete workouts, such as distance traveled, split times, and goals achieved.

Apple has quite a few things on deck for the new version of Apple Wallet. For example, it will support more car keys from more car manufacturers. Next on deck? Porsche. Apple Wallet will also add more details to boarding passes, including the ability to access airport maps and share your estimated arrival time. You’ll be able to see more of your retialer rewards, sign up for installment payments, and track your orders intelligently, with notifications when things are delivered.

Apple has a few things on deck for Apple Music. First, it is introducing translations for lyrics, as well as lyric pronunciations so you know how to sing your favorite earworm. Apple Music is also gaining the ability to pin your favorite artists or genres to the top of the home screen.

Apple has lots of changes in store for Apple Messages. It is allowing people to add new backgrounds, put polls in group chats, send/request cash with friends, see typing indicators for individual group members, and screen messages for those that aren’t from your contact list.

Apple has renamed all its core operating systems based on the forthcoming calendar year. That means iOS 18 will become iOS 26 instead of iOS 19. Apple says this will allow it to align its platforms with each year so it’s easier to keep track of them all.

One of the first things Apple showed us is a design refresh called Liquid Glass. It’s based on the idea that all the control elements are floating pieces of glass that sit above your screen and let you interact with it. Liquid Glass will appear across Apple’s operating systems.

The company played a video to promote the upcoming F1 movie, which featured executive Craig Federighi, and highlighted big changes for all the company’s platforms: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and more.
