They are small enough to fit in a. Glove box which is where weâre keeping them just in case

Surprise surprise…
Well they do exactly what they say they do! Super lightweight and easy to pack. Use for signaling and warmth in a survival environment.

Useful to have in a shelter kit. Would not use like a traditional blanket.
These type of blankets are handy heat reflectors. I am not educated into how useful they would truly be in an emergency, survival situation. But they are handy to add into an existing shelter kit, or throw into a car to help insulate it in an emergency. I would not use it as a traditional blanket but instead use it as an outer layer of a sleeping bag, or hang it up inside a shelter to reflect heat back downwards.

Works well. Make sure you research proper use.
Bottom Line: Nice, small profile package to stow away for emergency use.As with most emergency blankets, this blanket is very thin and vulnerable to snags and tears. That’s not a ding, just reality. They are extremely lightweight and compact for storage in a backpack or tucked away in a nook in your car.Keep in mind a few things. These blankets do not protect you from direct contact with cold objects like sitting on the ground, leaning against a wall or rock or tree, or snow depositing on top of it.These blankets work by trapping heat and reflecting heat back on to the wearer. They are impermeable which will help to keep moisture out but will also trap moisture (sweat) inside and yes, you will sweat when you are cold. This trapped moisture can be a deadly risk so I recommend you watch some videos on how to best use these blankets before you need them.Compact as these are, you’re unlikely going to be able to fold them back to their original size. The one I removed from the pack to review is now folded down to about 3 times its original shipping size.Unfolded this covered about 60% of my large body (6’2″ and rather thick). If you’re 5’2″ and not too thick, it’ll probably cover your entire body. Keep this in mind when determining how many you keep stored away.

Be Prepared
That is the scout motto. Or maybe you plan for the worst and hope for the best. If you find yourself in a zombie apocalypse (as seen on TV) or a possible nuclear winter (also seen on TV recently) or maybe just stuck overnight on I-95 in DC or on I-20 in Atlanta (Atlanta?!) you’ll probably want to have a couple of these blankets handy.Lost in the woods at night with no cell signal? A late season beach party with not enough room around the bonfire? Just pull one of these from your pocket, wrap up and think happy thoughts. They’re only a few bucks apiece, a light 3 ozs and are about the size of my wallet but unfold to almost the size of a twin flat sheet.I might have been a little too flippant here but it’s no joke if you think about it. Just consider the alternative.

Critical Part of Winter Car Breakdown Kit
New England winters are frigid so itâs important to have something warm handy in the event that your car breaks down or youâre stranded while hiking. This emergency blanket fits the bill.Itâs very compact and lightweight. Since itâs made of Mylar (just like the balloons), it keeps your body heat in and the reflective surface should make it easier for someone to spot you. The only thing thatâs annoying about this blanket is the constant crinkling sound it makes when using it but itâs expected given its construction material. It does make it harder to sleep if youâre noise sensitive but at least youâll be warmer. I keep one in each of my vehicles.
Customer Review –
Wow this actually works better than expected
This works so much better than I expected it to. I put the blanket onto myself in my very cold apartment after leaving my window open and this alone made me extremely warm! It covers my entire body (Iâm 5â5) and is easy to take out of the pack and use right away. The blanket is rather lengthy which is good for taller people. I think this blanket could fit maybe 2 kids under the blanket if children needed to use this. The only bad thing I can really say about this item is that it does make quite some noise. But I think if youâre using this during the fall/winter and youâre sleeping in the woods, rv, truck, or car that would be the least of your worries. 5/5 this is a must have.

I live in Edmonton,Canada,it gets very cold here and we have a large homeless population, full shelters ,leaving folksto sleep on the froxen ,snow covered sidewalks in our inner city,so I purchase these and I go and hand them out to the most vulbnerable and they have tghanked me for providing the blankets becauseit’s the difference between life or freezing to death. These emergencyb lankets work ! I highly recommend everyone has one in their cars in case you break down, or you can have a kind heart and offer help to those who need it,giving it as a gift they are a must have item ! and for the price? you can’t go wrong ! Thank you ðâ¤ï¸

I don’t have a lot of experience with emergency blankets but these are a lot larger and a but thicker than the standard ones in a med kit. I was able to use one as a ground sheet on an icy log and it didn’t rip so I was impressed with that. For the price I think they’re a great product.
