Bought these for my partner and she started nursing school and she loves them. She loves the color, how secure it clips onto their scrubs and how comfortable it feels in her hands. The light is nice and strong but not to strong to cause pain to the patient. Recommend these to anyone

Not bright – ineffective for even the simplest pupil exam.
I was drawn to these pen lights because they are pretty, from the color options to the almost shimmer some of the colors have, I was sold. BUT, I unfortunately was betrayed by their beauty – the light itself is not bright enough to cause a pupillary reaction during a simple eye exam. The light output is almost laughable, I turned my bathroom lights off and shut the door and I had to get 2 inches from the mirror to even see a glimmer of hope. Save yourself the money and regret, this is not the pen light for you if you are hoping to see anything in the dark, including the light output of this pen.
