FRESH PAPER – WAITING 2 SEE RESULTS!
I saw FRESH PAPER for the 1st time on the Innovation Nation Show TV show. The Fresh Paper segment featured Kavita Shukla, the “inventor” of Fresh Paper. I couldn’t find where to buy her Fresh Paper. I thought her product was superior, because even if this was identical to her product, the widths were similar however, her product unfolded to approx. 12 inches long.Because I couldn’t find what I thought was better, I went to my superior shopping place, Amazon.I ordered this product, vs others because both are made to toss into fridge drawers, etc. unfolded & both were made of natural spices, etc. & this company appears to NOT be a big company (that typically only care about saving $ with total disregard of products effect on health & the environmental).I am anxious to see how it works!Perhaps this TINY FRESH PAPER WILL WORK GREAT.I will get back & I will revise this to reflect results! Perhaps “SIZE DOES’T MATTER” if both get the same results!

Might Work for Some Foods
I like the fact that there are 18 sheets (6 each in separate packages). Seems they should last a long time. I think they might work for some produce, but I specifically wanted them because I indulge in baby spinach and usually have to compost some of each package because it spoils. Well, these don’t work for soft leaves (spinach, lettuce, etc.). My spinach was actually worse when I used these and the sheets get soaking wet stored with leaves. Too bad. I really wanted something to help save food. I do have them in a fruit drawer and in with other vegetables and haven’t really noticed much difference with them than there was without them.

Food Saver Sheets
The verdict is still out. I am using the sheets, but I am not convinced they are extending the life of my fresh produce.

They can extend the life of greens considerably.
It’s been difficult to test this product for review. When I put a sheet in with veggies and then use the veggies right away, it doesn’t test; and actually wastes; the product. Even if it takes awhile to use the veggies, I didn’t have a way to compare whether they lasted longer with the sheet than without. Finally, I put one in with a large box of spinach/spring greens several days after purchasing them as the box was still nearly full and; being the only one here who eats greens; I knew there was going to be a lot of waste. The second photo was taken last night, 11 days after the “Best if used by” date. You can see the sheet in the box. The greens weren’t soggy and the salad was good. In fact, I’ll be eating more salad from that box tonight; 12 days after.I usually finish off the greens a few days after the “best by” date, but not this long after, so I’m sure the sheets do work, and will use them again in greens that I’ve gotten behind in consuming. I don’t know whether I’d order the vegetable saves again, as they are a bit costly and I don’t need them that often, but I’m glad to have a dozen of the little sheets left, as I’ve thrown a lot of greens away over the years. Now I know greens’ useful life can be extended considerably if I put a Food Saver sheet in by the expiration date.Update 2/6/24, Pictures 3 and 4: I’ve upgraded from four stars to five. Having eaten away from home frequently in the last couple of weeks, I still had some of the spinach/spring greens in the fridge with the January 8 “best by” date. I was making scrambled eggs, to which I add veggies and greens if I have them to help get my daily vegetable servings. I didn’t think I’d be doing more than throwing the greens away when I took the box out 20 days after that date, but they were still fine! No mold nor were the greens wilted. From purchase date to now; still useable; is a month. The package of 18 crisp sheets I got will last a long time, but being someone who regularly discards wilted greens, these sheets will save me a lot of money and waste and will be worth purchasing again.

Work well
I sometimes buy peeled garlic from Costco. Because there was a lot of it, it used to spoil easily, but this time I stored it in Food saver sheets and was able to use all of it without mold growing on it. This helped it maintain freshness for about a week. You can use it more effectively if you put food saver paper in the container and seal it.

Did not work
Product did not work at all. Put it in a fresh bag of asparagus and 4 days later the bunch was wilted. Box of blueberries had many too soft berries. And box of lettuce had many rotted leaves. After 4 days of fresh veggies.

It’s okay.
It’s hard to tell if it’s really working though. It gets really wet and soggy if you put it in a box of spinach, etc. I put it by my bananas and didn’t really notice much of a difference. I also put it in the drawers in my refrigerator.I think I feel a bit indifferent about the product to be honest. I’m not about to do a scientific experimentation with this thing either to see if it really works. It would be nice also if they were wrapped individually…not sure this is something I’d repurchase.ð¤·
