Pocket Guide to Camping Knots on Waterproof cards
Great reference tool in a clean, nice set of reference cards illustrating a variety of common knots used often, especially while camping. The cards are finely laminated and joined by a tight fitting rivet. The carabiner is “cheap”, but useful. Each side of the cards are numbered, so if these are used as a teaching tool, they can be referenced. The illustrations are clean and colored well. I especially love the red highlighting of the rope illustrations showing directions and tying guidance.Each card is 3-1/2″Ã2-1/4″x3/8″.They fit well in any pocket, or backpack.Very nice set.

Great Quality, But Picky Buyers Beware
Iâd like to start by saying that I wish I could give this item a 3.5, instead of a 3 or a 4, but that my issues with these cards may be preferable for other users, so I gave the item a 4 overall.Pros: These cards are definitely quality in terms of thickness and durability. Very well made. The print is small, as others have mentioned, but nothing my glasses canât handle, and the smaller font means that each knot has a brief description prior to the instructions, and I like that kind of extra information.Cons: My first con may actually be a pro for some people, but is something that bothers me personally. I was under the impression that each card had their own holes with individual reinforcing brackets. Nothing in the product photos or descriptions led me to this conclusion, but something I had in my mind. Instead, the stack of cards is maintained by a single bracket. This is great to prevent losing any cards, but it means that the cards must be rotated in exactly the right way to not obscure any information on the card. (This statement applies to all cards except for the front of the first card and the back of the last.) Functionally, it means that looking at any of those in between cards means greatly increasing the foot print of the card bundle, and it makes it less friendly to hold, but would be fine on a flat surface. I tried to demonstrate this with several pictures. Basically, instead of five separate cards, it is a bundle of five cards attached together.The second con is something that will likely only bother anyone who is clinically OCD, but it does bother me. I looked at the photos after the fact, and the information was right there, but I failed to see it. The front of each card is given numbers 1 – 5, and the backs of each card are numbered 6 – 10, instead of 1 (front), 2 (back), 3 (front), and so forth. No change in functionality, but a really odd choice.Overall, these are a great set of cards, but picky buyers beware.

I forget a lot. So these information cards make possible. Protected in plastic and ring to keep it together. I can try out some different knots. Display cards easy to see and understand. I recommend this item. My son is getting one.

Great for newbies or people just getting back into it helps with different types knots. When Iâm out with new people teaching them they love it because they can read it and do their own knots and i keep a few extra so people can keep it and take it home with him. Awesome product.
