What they say is true
For us, everything we have read about freeze-dried dog food has been true with our dog. A dog that had chronic diarrhea, and seemed to have lost much of her energy, hasn’t had diarrhea one time in months. Her coat is prettier too. Best of all, she LOVES this food. We get the chicken. She is back to swimming in the pool and chasing the deer and the birds like she did when she was young. It’s expensive, so we started out just using it as a topper, but since she began to have regular stools, I have increased it a bit and serve it to her one handful each, twice a day. Then once or twice a day I give her a total of about 1.5 cups of the Hills diet formula. She always eats at least one of the Hills Diet food per day, but gobbles down the freeze-dried food. We are very happy to have given our dog this great gift! She is happier and healthier and that makes it worth it! If you still have doubts, get out on the www and read the unbiased reviews about this product…I did.

My dogs love it!
I put a little warm water over it and mix it and let it sit and soak for a bit, then add an equal amount of their kibble and mix it all together and they lick their bowls clean! That tells you right there itâs the real deal cuz my dogs know. And when you know, you know. You know? I got the 1pound bag to try and now Iâm subscribed to the 3-pound bag. I gave it four stars instead of five because itâs expensive, I got six meals from the 1 pound bag for my 40 pound dogs. But you get what you pay for. It feels good knowing Iâm feeding my dogs food with real ingredients and thatâs healthy and good for them.

I have a 13 year old Blue Pit, and as he is getting older heâs been picky about his food. I watched the video and listened to the Vetâs, I think my dog (Romeo) fell in love with this Nutra Complete! Thank you Dr Richter

I like this for my dog. Although he does not care for the chicken, he does like the beef. Worth every penny

Made my dog sick
I can’t say anything negative about the quality of this food – its ingredient list is fantastic – but it did not agree with my border collie. I started him in the morning with 25% of this food, 75% of his usual as per the instructions, and within 20 minutes, he threw it up. That evening, I fed him his regular food. No problems. Next day, I tried 10% Nutra, 90% his existing food. Same issue. After three days, it’s pretty clear it doesn’t agree with his system, and I’m not going to subject him to further discomfort.Amazon refunded my purchase price after a brief chat with a representative, and all is well. I’m sure this food is great for some dogs, but mine is sensitive to one or more of the ingredients.

Overall improvement in German shepherdâs life
Bear absolutely loves this food. I mix it with his normal food and his gut health has improved immensely and his energy level is back to when he was a 1 year old. Itâs a bit pricey but to watch him devour it and how much better he feels itâs worth every penny

Quality seems to vary
My very small senior dog (5 pound Chihuahua mix) is very picky about food. I constantly am on the hunt for something she will eat for more than a couple of weeks. I found this food on Amazon this week and ordered the 5-ounce package of chicken flavor. She absolutely loved it. In fact I donât know how I could keep her to the three-quarter cup per day that sheâs supposed to eat. But being very small with a very small mouth, jaw and teeth she had trouble chewing the cubes as they come even though theyâre spongy. So I cut them in half, which wasnât a big deal to do, and she was fine. She gobbled them down. Since she seems to like it so much, I ordered the 1-pound bag which arrived today. I didnât want to jump right to the 3-pound because who knows, she could change her mind in a few days and not like it anymore and itâs VERY expensive. The 1-pound bag arrived today and I poured some of it out so I could cut the cubes in half and found the quality varies widely. Many or most of the cubes in the 1 pound bag are smaller and darker in color and harder than the fluffy ones in the 5-ounce bag and theyâre hard to cut in half because they shatter into crumbs. Apparently theyâre over dried. So right now Iâm kind of on the fence whether Iâm going to continue buying this product. Iâll go through the 1-pound bag and see if the whole bag is like that in which case I will not buy it anymore. Maybe just some of the ones that happened to be on the top of the bag that I started today are over dried ? Anyway, Iâll update this when I have a little more experience with the product.
