A couple years ago some friends and I went to Japan on holiday. The weather was crazy due to a typhoon during the majority of our visit; 100% humidity in 80 degree weather with torrents of rain at times. If we went outside it was a guarantee I would have to change my shirt when I got back to the hotel because it would be completely soaked, and umbrellas were useless because the condensation would build up on the inside and drip down like rain anyway. I bought a bottle of Pocari Sweat from a vending machine for two reasons: 1) I wanted to try as many Japanese things as possible while I was there, and 2) in all honesty I thought the name was funny. This immediately became my go-to drink for the duration of our trip. Sweating all day every day, walking an average of 11+ miles every day, this drink re-hydrated me completely. I never felt out of sorts, I never felt light-headed or had a dry mouth. If you’re ever in Japan and need a beverage that will carry you through your travels this is the one, no question.

I spent 6 years in Japan, and this was one of my favorite drinks. I was ecstatic to see it on amazon. It’s a touch pricey, but worth it to me. Now if they start selling Aquarius this way, I’ll be set.

I love this so much. it is kinda pricey to get here on Amazon but unless I trek across town to the asian market I can’t find it. Whenever I drink this it reminds me of being in South east asia because it is super popular in Asia in general. It is kind of like their version of a gatorade. Love the taste.

Having enjoyed this drink whilst living in Japan, was happy to find it on Amazon. These cans appear to be of Korean manufacture however I think the taste is the same as what you’d find in Japan.
