Best one that I ever had
Over the years, I have purchased and used a number of different trimmers; they all sort of work. But THIS ONE works perfectly! I can’t understand how a company can manufacture and sell and deliver a high quality product like this for about $15.00! What a bargain!

It does what is says it does
All of this category of clippers are less effective than I would like. But this is the best of the bunch that I’ve tried. And I’ve spent close to $75 or $80 on various manual and motorized nose & ear hair clippers. They all fall short. This one is better than the others that I’ve owned.

Easy to use, gut needs a cover.
This was the. best one we’ve had. Each of us got one, but unfortunately I always put it in my overnight. The gray easy clean feature must have gotten caught on something and it broke that on it which made the trimmer part stick out and it wouldn’t cut anymore. It just really could use a clear plastic cover that will fit over the head while traveling so it doesn’t get caught. Just bought another one and cut the box down to carry it inside of that safely.

Gets very hot and does not trim well
Overall this product works okay but it is not great. Trimming is not as good compared to other products I own and the tip gets very hot in few seconds of operation. The machine is pretty quiet.

My husband ordered this to replace his 20 year old Remington clipper and is very pleased with it. It works quickly and efficiently. It is supposed to be virtually indestructible and while he didn’t drop it in his rock crusher to find out, he did drop the larger clipper piece on the floor accidentally. It bounced a few times and, sure enough, it was fully intact and works like new. His only complaint is that the on/off switch is on the bottom and if you switch it a little too hard, the batteries fall out. A thumb switch on the side like the old model would be better.

Despite the 4 star 13,000 plus reviews I HIGHLY DISAGREE with the rating.FOR COMPARISON: My original Wahl trimmer is lightweight and overall diameter is not much larger than the AAA battery that powers it. Biggest complaint is battery life as I have to install a new one every other time I use it. And after 15+ years the eye brow trimmer is falling apart. The ear/nose trimmer piece is easily cleaned as the blade assembly easily pushes out.WHY I BOUGHT THIS NEW REMINGTON: It uses a AA battery for longer life/run-time and the 13,000 plus reviews with a 4 out of 5 star rating. It’s also a name brand, Remington.WHY I RETURNED IT (1 STAR RATING): Upon unboxing the build quality is very cheap, almost disposable. The nose/ear trimmer head does NOT disassemble for cleaning. The instructions say to rinse under water after use and then blow out any hairs but anything that’s worked its way inside the assembly will likely remain there. When I powered it up it was LOUD, like ‘portable body massager’ loud. When I placed it by my ear with the ear/nose trimmer attachment it was deafening, TOO LOUD. My old/original Wahl trimmer was quiet enough so I could actually hear when it was trimming hairs, which helped me to know where trimming was needed most and when I should stop. NOT with this one, TOO LOUD! The bulky design makes it very awkward to hold and use. The eye brow trimmer attachment is difficult to use because the bulk of the unit makes it hard to get the trimmer head close against your face. The ear/nose trimmer attachment is not long enough in my opinion. My old Wahl was longer so I could navigate my average size ears easily. Someone with ears larger than mine would NOT be able to use this Remington trimmer effectively for ear trimming. Similar issue using it for nose trimming. Very disappointed. I rarely return items to Amazon but in this case, despite the relatively low cost, I decided to return it more as a matter of principle. Don’t always rely on reviews, even when thousands have provided good ratings. User reviews are a good starting point but it ultimately comes down to personal preference and experience. Now searching for a smaller AAA battery powered or rechargeable lighter weight trimmer.

I use this as a nose hair trimmer and it works great. Cuts very close. It comes with extra attachments if you need them, but I don’t use them. Happy with this purchase.
