1. Galatians 5:22-23

2. Ephesians 5:8-10

Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)

8. Ephesians 2:10

9. Colossians 3:23-24

Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything;
and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor,
but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,
as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

We can take this principle from Paul’s writings still today in that we should work for God, not for human masters. This means that no matter what our job is like or how terrible our boss is, we should work hard and give our work all that we have because it is ultimately for the Lord.

10. Ephesians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in the heavenly realms

I don’t think that we often realize that the Bible tells us that God has already blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Sometimes, we can get so wrapped up in seeking physical blessings that we forget about spiritual blessings. Tap into these blessings through your relationship with God in the Holy Spirit and thank Him for them today.

11. Romans 8:11

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you,
He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Never forget that you have the very Spirit of God living inside of you. This is the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead and gave you life. Don’t take His presence in your life for granted. Cultivate a deep relationship with Him and allow Him to guide you in your life.

12. Galatians 5:16

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

If you desire to live a blessed life, strive to walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh. The desires of the flesh will only lead you into sin and destruction, but the Spirit will lead you into life and blessings in abundance.

13. Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked

14. Jeremiah 17:7-8

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

When we place our trust and confidence in the Lord, we become blessed. We become firmly rooted in what we know to be true because we trust that He will take care of us. We won’t be able to be shaken because we will stand firm in the knowledge of who our Lord God is.

15. Proverbs 3:1-2

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

This is the only time in the Bible where we are told that we can test God. When we are faithful to God in the stewardship of our finances, He is faithful to us and provides for us more than we could ever imagine.

18. Proverbs 3:9-10

Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops;
then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

We are called to honor the God of Jacob with our wealth by giving to Him the firstfruits of what we earn. When we do this, we are told that He will be faithful in return and provide for us what we need. We will be blessed beyond measure when we honor the God of hope in all that we do.

19. John 3:16

Blessings go far beyond just physical things or needs that we have. In fact, the biggest blessing of all is one that children of God already have. The love that God showed for us in Jesus being on the cross is the greatest blessing of all. Now, we have eternal life that will carry us forth forever.

20. Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Peace is a blessing that we don’t often think of as such. Yet peace is something that we all look for in our lives in various places. The Bible tells us that when we give up our anxieties and worries to God, His peace will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. This is one of the greatest blessings we can receive and we should be careful not to take it for granted.

21. James 1:12

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because,
having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life
that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

James says that if you want to be blessed, you should strive to persevere through trials that happen in your life. Even when things are hard and it feels like they’ll never end, persevering and staying strong through the trial will bless you and you will come out the other side even stronger than before.

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.

even as your soul is getting along well.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

Even when you are lacking, remember this verse.
