Bread Sling
This bread sling is a great addition to my sourdough bread baking experience. It works well in the heavy cast iron Dutch oven I use for baking. It has discolored some, but washes and dries nicely. Makes lifting the loaf out of the pan a breeze. No more torn or wasted parchment paper.

It is what it says but a plain old silpat is cheaper, and you could cut to match this one, exactly to match your pan or dutch oven .

The breadmaker in the family loves it
The breadmaker in the family says this makes baking loaves in her Dutch oven much easier. She had been using crossed strips of parchment paper before, which was more finicky, less effective, and put her at greater risk of burning herself on the hot cast iron of the Dutch oven.

Works better than expected
This bread sling fits perfectly in our Le Creuset. The bread did not stick to sides or bottom and it was a very loose dough. Instead of buying a “bread pot” with low sides, I used the sling in something I already owned, and I would recommend it. If my dough was more ball shaped I probably could have lowered into the pot with the sling as well. But I ended up putting the cling in first and then the bread on top of it. Overall, it works great.

The mat is thick and well made. Its handy to have but it didnt solve my problem of handling the dough. While I was heating the dutch oven, the dough rose and it wasnt large enough for me to lift the dough off the flat tray to put it in large pot for baking, which was what I was hoping it will do. I will need to bake on the pan today. It will absolutely get your bread out of the pot easily if that is your goal. Its a good buy.

Dans le descriptif, j’avais lu ceci : “Notre tapis de cuisson en silicone est livré en paquets de 2, aide à réduire les déchets, est un choix respectueux de la planète et durera longtemps.”Comme je n’en avais reçu qu’un, j’ai pu contacter le vendeur qui a bien pris en compte cette remarque et m’a proposé de m’envoyer un second tapis et a modifié son descriptif aussitôt.Et hier, j’ai bien reçu le second tapis de cuisson identique au premier que j’ai déjà utilisé et qui rend complètement le service attendu : un démoulage au top et un tapis qui ne se déforme pas et ne s’effiloche pas !Excellent produit !
