Self adhesive bandage
This is a generic form of Coban. Coban is used in emergency rooms and clinics everywhere. Even labs use it as it holds better to prevent bleeding from the puncture site when done. Even tho it does stick to itself nicely… for active people or in places that get stressed.. a small piece of tape at the closure site keeps it securely closed. We use this on different animals for many diff issues. But to show durability the example i will give is the use on the feet of chickens. Chickens can get an infection on the bottom of their feet that must be treated. We use this to hold the telfa pad in place by going between toes and around back of the foot and then partially up the leg. Small piece of tape to hold in place. Chickens have very busy feet… scratching for worms, seeds etc.. and never have had one come off!

In the place where I work I’m constantly using cardboard boxes, which is why my fingers become dehydrated and cracked. With the bandage I prevent this from happening and help prevent further injuries.

This tape doesn’t stick if you need to reposition it or you remove it and try to reuse it again. I’ve used the purple and the lime green; the purple is okay for one-time use. The lime green, on the other hand, doesn’t even stick the first time. I’ve never had sports tape that didn’t stick to itself, so this is a first.

As good as…
My husband needed his palm bandaged from doing glove-less yard work (reminder – ALWAYS wear gloves). We happened to have some of this and some gauze in the cabinets and used it because we quickly learned adhesive bandages don’t stick to palms for more than 37.5 seconds. We quickly ran through the stuff we had and needed replacements. This works brilliantly – stay put all day until we can re-wrap in the evenings. Plus – he’s doesn’t care, but I like the fun colors!
