Veggie and Fruit fridge sponge life extender
First time using these and so far I havenât had any problems with my fruit and vegetables. Prior to using these my fruit and vegetables would rot within two days. Itâs worth trying.

A helpful liner
These are interesting, but helpful liners.my household got a new fridge when we moved, and we have been trying to baby it as much as possible since it was expensive and the shelves are glass, not wire racks. These liners are nice, protective layers for the glass shelves, and are actually rinseable if something spills or goes bad while resting on these. They feel like an acrylic sponge in texture, and are roughly 1/4″ thick, give or take. They cut easily with SHARP scissors. If your scissors are a little dull, they may drag or not shear nicely. A box cutter could work, again only if the blade is fresh and sharp. I cut these to shape to fit my shelves, each of my drawers, and the door compartments in my new fridge and I still had an extra sheet I used on top of the drawer set I bought and put on the top shelf for cheese and small meat sticks to protect that, too. I’ve lost a lot of precious time to cleaning out fridges made messy by exploded bottles, spilled containers, and fruit and/or gone bad, so I like these.I’m not 100% sold on them, since I’m certain they are plastic and I don’t know what kind of plastic, but short of being some form of strong, starched cellulose or something like that, there was no way to get the spongey, easily rinsed texture of these.

Disappointing…
These liners are OK for the produce drawers, but not for the shelves. On the shelves they easily become wrinkled up under your containers and do not stay in place. I can understand the fact that they allow airflow under your produce so that probably helps keep items fresh longer. They can also be used when washing fruit or veggies. But I needed to remove them from the shelves on the second day.

A tidy vegetable drawer is a joy to behold.
Not sure if these work by wicking away moisture but anything that will preserve expensive produce is a good thing to me. It also just cleans up my produce drawer. It took two sheets to line our drawer but there are enough here to line the drawers of several refrigerators. Since they are also washable these will last for a long time. They were easy to cut to size.

Airy sponge liner sheets
These sheets are very thin, about 1/8â thick, with a sparse, fibrous structure. I placed double-layers of these into the vegetable drawers in the fridge and on the shelf for fruits. Not only are these sheets cushioning, thus preventing damage like bruising to fruits and vegetables, but the fact that they are so airy preserves better the fruits and vegetables because those spoil faster when the gas they produce when ripe, ethylene, stays in place, trapped under them. Good airing all around stored vegetables prevents such accumulations of gas. You have surely seen that most spoilage in fruits starts from the bottom, where they touch the shelf: ethylene is the reason. Also, mold contamination of the surface. These sponge liners are perfectly washable, even in hot water, so any mold or other microscopic contamination can be removed thoroughly. So far, there is no visible wear to these, I already started thinking I got too big of a package. The only drawback is that they do not stay in place, especially on large shelf bottoms, so I have to re-arrange them every now and then as they move around.

Good liner, absorbent
I got these for fridge as it claims it keeps fruits and veggies last long. I can’t Claim that as it’s too soon but it’s made of absorbent material so it make sense. It does have any bad odor or chemical smell so can put my fruits and vegetables on top without any problem. I have also used some for my freezer to catch any drips from meat. It’s medium size so I needed 2 in each drawer.

Seem to work
I’ve tried these out in the drawer where I keep my fruit. I bought some grapes that seemed to be very ripe. Normally they would have only stayed good for a day or 2, but they lasted longer than expected while stored on the liner. The downside is that they slide around a lot so I just gently set my fruit in the drawer so that it doesn’t move. I give it 4 star because it does seem to keep my produce fresh for a little longer.

Useful!
These refrigerator bin liners work very well. The fit my side by side perfectly, absorbing moisture and allowing air to circulate around the produce. They wash up easily and dry quickly, but also come in a handy 12 pack if you don’t feel like washing them.
